Already a 2010 Mock Draft Out
Talk about NFL draft insanity. There is already a mock draft for 2010 on si.com. I mean, cripes, can't we at least play the 2009 season before we start to even think about a 2010 draft? Well, the good news is Andrew Perloff has the Eagles picking 31st, so they'll be in the Super Bowl. Unfortunately he has them losing to the Chargers. He also predicts that the Eagles will pick offensive tackle Ciron Black from LSU. I don't know which is more moronic - projecting a 2010 mock draft when it's only April 2009 or the fact that he has them taking an offensive tackle. We're already looking to replace Peters and Stacey Andrews??
Just to mock this mock draft, I predict the Eagles will trade up to pick a defensive end in the first round. They'll take Carlos Dunlap, DE out of Florida. Suck on that Sports Illustrated!

y did we trade up 1 spot & switch picks with San Diego
it makes no sense… we should just wait for 32
Probably because they had to do something with one of those extra 5th round picks
But, I like your thinking.

I think if anything 2009 has proven it’s impossible to predict what Reid and Co. will do in the draft.
I think you’re in the right ballpark though- No need for an OT, unless an elite one is somehow available. I suppose C/G could be an option, but I don’t see them reaching in the 1st for one. Parker’s gonna be 31 (I think), so he’s joining the 30+ club, which we now know is a prelude to a wave goodbye. I think spending a high pick on a bookend DE for Cole would be a practical, traditional, “Eagles” move… I wouldn’t be against it if Abiamiri doesn’t pan out.
Who knows what would have happened if Ayers hadn’t gone to Denver @ 18? He could very well be in green right now.
.K
Yeah I saw that the other day and thought it was rediculous that he had us taking an o-lineman in the first round. I don’t get the myth about Big Red drafting o-lineman in the first round, he has only drafted 1 while he has been here and that is Shawn Andrews. He likes to draft versatile o-lineman on the 2nd day of the draft.
tackle
not so far fetched .. stacy is really a guard . hes a project at tackle because of his size .. peters is the only sure thing we have

I understand what your saying
but I think that if we decide that Stacey’s best position is guard I think we slide him inside and put Shawn at right tackle. All I can think about is the interview with both the Andrews brothers where Shawn said that a coach said “he has the best feet of any football player I have seen other than TO”

+1
But Mays should be a top 5-10 pick. With that in mind hopefully he’s well, well, well out of our reach.
