Injured Eagles a "go" and are draft picks prepped for Philly fans?

Photo

There have been some questions about whether several guys are healthy enough to participate in this weekend's first mandatory minicamp. In a radio interview yesterday Tom Heckert said that tight shirted Jack Ikegwuonu, who spent all of last year on IR, is cleared to practice 100% in this minicamp and will be participating in the full practices.

There has been some rumors that Cornelius Ingram may be still be suffering effects from his knee injury last year. Some rumors even suggested that he may need a second surgery. However, Ingram himself said yesterday that he feels fine and will be participating in the full practice.

Another thing Ingram said which I found very interesting was when he was asked by the hosts in a radio interview if he'd heard how passionate Philly fans could be? He said that during his private visit the coaches said people will cheer you one minute, but if you drop a pass they'll get you quick. Ingram laughed about it, but i can't help but think whether it was a test?

I wonder if they said it to see how he'd react? An important part of the evaluation process has to be finding out whether a guy has thick enough skin to play in this town.

T-shirt technology has come along way. Those under armor shirts make people look 20 percent skinnier than they really are (according to extremely famous scientists).

I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

Reaaaally...

…I didn’t know Stephen Hawking did research on “T-shirt technology” ;-)

i'm glad to know they try to figure that out

but are we sure that they’ve succeeded? probably overall, but its an interesting question.

If you get flagged enough

I think your comment dissapears automatically. At least that’s how it worked on the original sites to use this design

by keithk on Apr 28, 2009 8:47 PM EDT up reply actions

oh really

that makes sense, i think he was flagging me back, cause everything i said back to him got taken off too. i guess it was just wishful thinking that jasonb booted his ass.

If Jack is better then asante does that mean Jack starts at left CB and Asante moves over to right this year?.. ooor?

DeSEAN JACKSON THE 10NE

by TheILLadeph on Apr 28, 2009 11:23 PM EDT up reply actions

no

jack cant start untill sheldon leaves .. sheldons a great corner .. jack is coming back off an injury .. but hes going to get on the field .. i say he becomes the third corner before the second half of the season

by jack is better than asante on Apr 28, 2009 11:38 PM EDT reply actions

i honestly hope your right. all i’ve been hearing from the f.o. is that this guy was round 1 talent that we got in round 4. it may not happen though if sheldon sticks around and our cb’s are asante, sheldon, hobbs, hansen, and jack.

by awd777 on Apr 29, 2009 7:08 AM EDT up reply actions

like maclin

he needs time to develop .. greatness isnt made over nite .. maclin could be reggie wayne .. but not this year .. no chance .. hes gonna return punts .. and maybe catch 25 balls

by jack is better than asante on Apr 28, 2009 11:39 PM EDT reply actions

unlike jack ike

he needs no time to develop, thats right, he gets drafted, spends a year on IR, and without ever playing a down in the NFL, he is already better than a proven pro bowler. hey, im a big fan of UH, i spent 8 years in HI watching them. Did you guys know that colt brennan is better than jason campbell, and even more, timmy chang was better than donovan.

I hate that...

Arguing so much about how Jack Ike is not better than Asante has made me almost not like Jack…and I always liked him and thought he had the potential to be a solid starter…
