Projecting the 53 Man Roster
I know Andrew usually has a say in this, but I figured while we're all excited about the draft let's get this little convo started:
Does this team have any weaknesses?
I projected the depth charts too. Most fluidity is at WR, where there will definitely be a great rotation at all levels (i.e. Brown will get a lotta PT)

TE (2):
1. Celek 2. Ingram 3. Dorenbos

Did I miss anything? What does everyone think?

on paper, looks like a very exciting offense
and a defense that will need to convince people it still has big play ability when it counts w/o bdawk in the defensive (and offensive) backfield

tank daniels is gonna make the team
tracy white’s got an outside shot, as well.
i’d kinda like to cut klecko, but i don’t see that as likely.
also, i think this is dunlap’s year.
brian mccann: derek lowe's got the best slider i've ever seen
john smoltz: yeah? and josh bard's the best catcher i've ever thrown to.

I like this one better than the other one that's posted ...
… Maybe Harris and Baker will have to battle for a spot.
Maybe Bryan Smith and Joe Mays will have to excel again or offer something on special teams.
Six WRs could make the roster, but it’s no lock.
I’m sure camp injuries and Eagles’ phantom redshirt injuries could factor in. Macho Harris and the Oregon T could be candidates for those this year.
Just to throw some random stuff out there. I only really glanced at the list.
I think what this means is there will be competition at almost every position in camp, and jobs probably aren’t set.
I wonder if we could see some movement (via trade) later on too.

Especially if other teams
have camp injuries and suddenly a Justice or Brown look more appealing.

Thanks!
Yeah, our depth is phenomenal, and the camp battles this year should be really good. I think we go in with 6 because they’re all so talented that it’s like drafting for value — ya take the best 53 players that you can while filling out positional needs, and Reggie Brown is up there.

You know what I just thought?
The 53-man would look a lot better with ages (and maybe salaries) next to all the names.
That’s a project for sometime between now and camp, but the point being to demonstrate how potentially loaded this team is while still remaining young (and affordable)

Yeah that would be interesting
if I don’t do it I’m sure someone else will. Will probably be worthwhile mid-camp

BTW, JasonB, nice that your search function actually works. Nothing worse than knowing you’ve seen something before, and knowing you’ll spend hours trying to find it. This took 45 seconds to locate, tops. Thumbs up.

The Brown's
I think one if not both of the brown’s are on the way out…especially sheldon…
I find it hard to believe the 4th CB just signed a pretty big deal…
With Hobbs here now, I’m kind of hoping Sheldon does get traded, i’m comfortable with Samuel, Hobbs, Hansen, and Ike…if we can get something decent for Sheldon…
