We like those 5th rounders

I love how we pile up draft picks each year. It gives us a lot of options in the off season.

This...

This seems like a draft room just not being ready for a pick…lol…“Trade it!” I mean, why ever get a 7th rounder, really…yes, I know, Tom Brady was a 7th rounder…but he had one of the worst combines for a QB ever…

I think it’s mostly for the 5th next year.

Probably right...

They were likely done picking this year, and getting a 5th next year might actually be more valuable to the team than a 5th this year…especially when you’re looking at the board and there isn’t much there you need and likely are practice squad picks…

Let me explain it to you

a) Perhaps there wasn’t a guy on the board that we particularly like
b)Perhaps there’s a guy on the board who they’re interested in who will be there in round 7
c) Next year we have an extra 3rd and and extra 5th. That gives us some options to move around if when we actually SEE someone we like and have to move up to get him.

facts....

Tom Brady, one of the best value picks in draft history, was the 33rd pick in the 6th round…

"Eagles fans are a passionate group who love their team," said McNabb, "if not the actual players. It's not like winning a Super Bowl before the first month of the season is the hardest thing they've ever asked of me. That'd be all those times they asked me to go kill myself."

So...

OK…they can call it 6th, but there aren’t 33 teams…

i guess

the eagles feel they’ve drafted enough players and are just looking to trade to get more picks next year

andy just did an interview with the nfl analysts

and every question that he was asked, he either said nothing by saying a lot, or answered a different question. It was awesome
