Here's the scenario:

- Knowshon Moreno is selected by the San Diego Chargers with the 14th pick. Apparently the Eagles were trying to trade up to the 13th pick, but the Chargers kept the phone lines busy. Philadelphia then trades down a few spots and selects David Brown and gets an additional 4th round pick.

- Philadelphia is on the clock at #21, the Philly fans are calling for "knowshon, Knowshon, KNOWSHON!!!" from the rafters. Roger Goddell steps up to the podium: "With the 21st pick, the Philadelphia Eagles select TE Brandon Pettigrew, Oklahoma State University"...

What posts can I expect to see on these boards immediately afterwards? I'm very curious to see the responses of Anuj and the Knowshon Cult...

DISCLAIMER: I'm not sold on Knowshon. The lacking speed thing is really giving me doubts, and I wonder if we're better off trading up our 2nd round pick for McCoy.

Speed isn’t everything.. he has enough speed if you look at his highlights.. and its more about his quickness and ability to make people miss that makes him so intriguing. He also finishes his runs better then any back in the draft.

He doesn’t have to have the greatest speed to be a great runningback, his quickness and ability to make guys miss makes up for that.

Funny they said the same thing about a guy 19years ago coming out of the University of Florida. He then tortured us for 12 years wearing the #22 and a star on his head.

As much as I love Knowshon, I wouldn’t mind grabbing Pettigrew here. Although, trading for Gonzo would prevent this situation entirely…

Brian Westbrooks combine 40 time: 4.57s.

The bottom line is that running the 40 is about technique…playing football is about football speed. Knowshon has football speed.
