I used to have (gulp) G-Cobb's Opinion
Until I heard Sheldon on 610 tonight. (I think it was a live broadcast but I’m not sure – I listen to it online since I’m out of town)
Sheldon apologized to the fans and said it was business, but to him the tipping point was Banner’s comments after the Jason Peters signing. Banner said that they began to move out last year as soon as Jason said he was unhappy. Sheldon said he’s been trying to resolve things behind closed doors, but when he couldnt – he acted based on what ultimately happened to Peters. He said that his public statements may trigger some other team to hear that he’s unhappy and to start making offers.
Makes sense.

What player is seen as the “good guy” if Rosenhaus is out mouthing off to the media?
As a fan, Sheldon pissed me off
But for the most part – he doesnt have to be seen as a good guy in order to make a sound business decision. And if he inks a big deal elsewhere next year because his comments triggered another team to start the negotiations, then I can see his logic (or agent’s logic) for going public.
But don’t get me wonrg – I hate that he pissed on this offseason that I was enjoying so much before he opened up his piehole.
