Mosley Strikes Again

Matt Mosley discusses the options of the NFC East teams and WR.

You can tell he is bitter about the R. Williams trade and the fact that TO is no longer a 'Boy.

Anyway here is his analysis of the Eagles, it's not horrible but for some reason when I read something from Mosely I read it with a pretentious connotation and I'm not sure why.  It's weird to read that he actually agrees with Reid ... sort of.

Philadelphia Eagles

Hardcore analysis: My colleague Michael Smith seems to have his finger on the pulse of the Eagles, and he's hearing that Chad Ocho Cinco might be a possibility. I don't think Andy Reid feels compelled to draft or trade for another receiver, but he'll certainly listen to any and all offers. The Cardinals' Anquan Boldin would be a really nice complement to speedster DeSean Jackson. Everyone seems to think the Cardinals will break down and grant Boldin his wish of being traded, but Michael Bidwill doesn't feel like he owes the player any favors. And now that the Cardinals have actually earned some credibility, he may be less willing than ever to negotiate.

I sort of agree with Reid that the Eagles aren't in desperate need of a receiver, but I'm basing that on my belief in Kevin Curtis and Jason Avant. Curtis had to overcome a sports hernia last season, but he's a capable No. 2 receiver. Avant has emerged as a reliable third-down receiver. Reggie Brown has some ability, but his lack of consistency is frustrating.

The one thing I can tell you for sure is that the Eagles won't make a move simply to please Donovan McNabb. It's not their style. And in the end, he'll agree to a new contract and we'll all move down the road. It's much more likely the Eagles will take an offensive tackle and a running back in the first round (Nos. 21 and 28) than a receiver. Does that bother some of you guys? Let me know in the "comments" section. And leave a phone number in case I need to get back to you.

I dont know, I read Mosleys blog fairly often and he was pushing for Dallas to release Owens since the middle of the season. I don’t like how he covers Dallas 5X more than any nfc east team but he is not afraid to rip them when they deserve it (which as we all know is often). as far as his eagles analysis, its basically the same thing that we…and everyone else in the media has been saying for the last two months.

I don't hate Matt as much as I should. Just the fact that he cover Dallas bothers me though.

But He seem to have his head out of his rear end on that article. Nice to see you post something Whodie.

ugh...
and he’s hearing that Chad Ocho Cinco might be a possibility.

so he might be a possibility, huh? in other words, he kinda maybe sorta have a slight chance of a shot at possibly coming to philly. what a waste of time.

i do agree with his draft analysis though. i think o-line and rb are more important needs than wr. i guess we’ll find out soon enough, won’t we? 15 days and counting!

That’s cute that now he magically agrees with Reid that we aren’t in dire need of a receiver. I can easily go back to about a month ago and find multiple blog posts from him clearly stating our receivers weren’t gonna cut it and we need to get someone else.

That’s my problem with Mosley, he constantly flip flops and doesn’t keep his assessment consistent.

I don't know that Michael Smith really ...

… has his finger on the pulse of the Eagles either. Just because he talked to McNabb once and then tried to blow up his spot on ESPN?

I don’t read Moseley (lack of traffic is the only weapon we have) but in what you guys repost here, he does come off as rehashing the party line, usually. Although this time he’s showing an understanding of the Eagles’ needs/options offensively.

awd777,
Those 15 days can’t breeze by fast enough.

This place is going to be a mad house analyzing the actual picks.

Still waiting for the Eagles to Bring It Home For Jerome
