Cutler Trade
The latest from Pete Pricso at cbsportsline.com is that Denver will try to trade Cutler. I'd like to look at this a different way than previous posters. I don't want a McNabb for Cutler trade and I am not looking for your opinions on whether or not we should make that trade. I am looking for your ideas on how we can make ourselves better by getting in a 3 way trade scenario where someone else ends up with Cutler. Do you see any scenarios where we could get involved in such a trade and actually improve our team. If so, how? What teams would be involved?
Thoughts?

A third team only gets into the action if they have a QB that the Broncos want, which is why the Browns have been talked about (Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson) and to a lesser extent the Cardinals (Matt Leinart) have been talked about. The Broncos also want young defensive talent, but we’re not going to give that up just to be involved in the trade.
Kolb?
I know, I know I am reaching for straws. But how about this? We get involved in a three way trade with a third team who has a QB such a the Browns/Cardinals scenario you mentioned. In fact, both of those teams have certain receivers that have been the subject of 3 million blogs over the past 2 months.
Forgive me for a Braylon Edwards post, but...
Denver gets…
- Brady Quinn
- Eagles 2nd 1st round pick (#28 overall)
- Cleveland’s 2nd rounder (#37 overall)
Cleveland gets…
- Jay Cutler
Eagles get…
- Braylon Edwards
Reggie Brown
Reggie Brown will not be released or traded. It’s too much of a cap hit this year. If this trade ever were to happen and the Eagles gave up a WR, it would be much more likely to be Curtis or possibly Avant. If they got another WR, Curtis and Avant would be expendable. Both of them are better than most number 3 WR’s and wouldn’t be enthusiastic about being a number 4. Same with Baskett and Brown being 5’s or 6’s. Why do you think Greg Lewis was traded? They had too many mediocre WR’s.
