A Few things That has been bothering me

Ok I have been quite over the past couple days. The Dawkins thing took a lot out of me (plus im in the middle of a campaign).

The First Thing is That we did not loose our two starting tackles. Remind me again who did Runyon sign with. oh yeah thats right NO ONE. No one is going to sign someone who is going through the sergury that he is except the team hi was on. the is no market out there for a 35 year old tackle who is undergoing major surgery

Whats going to happen is we are going to draft a tackle in the first round and resign Runyon to a small contract.

Second thing is to all those people who say we are not going to trade for Boldin. Well you may be right but consider this. he does not want to be there right now unless he get his deserved contract (which they cant afford) and if they dont give it to him he will leave as soon as he becomes a FA.  No team could be spending 35 to 40 Million on 3 players on the same side of the ball.(warner fitz and boldin) and yes next year is an uncapped year but that doesnt mean Jack. yes it have an impact on large market teams like the entire NFC East but a lower tear team who neveer could fill a stadium like the cards, this could actualy hurt them because other teams could just over bid the cards without hesitation. so why dont they just trade Boldin to the highest bidder so they can get good young talent.

like i said it could happen that they keep him but when you put into account that he WILL be gone and in an era where there could be no salary cap they need to learn to get and groom young talent. and # picks will help

I hope so, Boldin is a YAC type WR. I used to watch a lot of the niners in their hay day(They were nationally televised for like 20 years) and I thought that most of their WR were YAC play makers.

They Eagles don’t have that right now. Westbrook on a screen and Curits on a slant really. So Boldin would really fit because Desean is really a burner. I don’t want to see to many crossing patterns with #10 involved if you feel me. Jerry Rice did so maybe he can, you never know. Hopefully gay ass Spadaro wasn’t talkin shit when he said that Desean works really hard in the offseason. I don’t mean that Desean needs to gain 20lbs or something but another Todd Pinkston isn’t going to work. I swear Pinkston must have been allergic to protien powder and the weight room.

Well,

I don’t think we have any need to sign Runyan back, considering we signed Stacy Andrews. If we were going to go after anyone it would have been Tre, who we low balled (surprise surprise), and even when he wasn’t getting any offers from other teams, he seemed set on not being an Eagle anymore. So the odds of Runyan coming back, especially with Andrews and the surgery considered, makes it look like Runyan might not be signed until some team gets desperate come camp time.

With Boldin, it seems to me that your argument is that since Boldin will be a Free agent in 2 years they might be willing to deal him to a team so that they can get picks for him. As much as this is a good idea, I don’t think that will happen until next off season. Teams typically don’t trade guys until they have 1 year left in their contract and he likely wouldn’t be an Eagle unless he actually hit free agency and even then who knows? You said yourself that they will trade him to the highest bidder, but the Eagles aren’t the type of team to overpay.

I do think Runyan will be back. we have no other back up and the chances of Andy reid felling 100% about starting a rookie is slim to none and as for boldin its more baning on the fact that teams need to prepare for the un capped year

Well my only objection here is that we wouldn’t be starting a rookie on the side that Runyan plays on. Runyan was our right tackle, Stacy Andrews plays the same spot so we should be fine there since Andrews is a vet. And for the left tackle, now that Tra is officially gone it looks very likely that Shawn Andrews or Herremans will move out to play left tackle and one of our other guys like MJG or Nick Cole will step up into the guard spot.
