Cowboys cut TO?

ESPN's Michael Smith has reported that the Dallas Cowboys have cut wide receiver Terrell Owens after 3 years in Dallas.
Wasn't he set to become a unrestricted free agent this year before the Cowboys re-signed him last season? I'm by no means a TO apologist, but the guy wasn't horrible last year and he was relatively quiet. I think Jerry Jones has lost his marbles. I'm not sure anyone really saw this coming.

he had a lot of plays this year I am glad to see him off that horrible team. I thought they would keep him despite his bitchassness they are definatly a worse team without him and that is a great thing. Fuck the cowboys and fuck TO
Don’t be so sure they are worse of without him….
He was such a distraction in Dallas that it was like we planted him there to do the lords work lol.

I think its all the controversy that surrounds TO. He might not have been as vocal as he used to be, but the media takes the smallest comment or act on the sideline and blows it out of proportion. I think thats why they got rid of him, to get free from that whirlwind of negative thinking.
"If they end up 2-14 and both of those wins came against Dallas, that's a pretty good year."
