Per PFT.com:

Former Pitt tailback LeSean McCoy, who left school with two seasons of eligibility remaining, is getting special attention from several teams.

Per a league source, McCoy has had private workouts with the Broncos, Eagles, and Bengals.

McCoy had a so-so Pro Day workout earlier this month.  And he was candid about it.

"I don’t think I blew out anybody with the way I performed," McCoy said.  "I’ll be honest with you; I wouldn’t say that.  But I think I did fairly well.  I think they were more impressed with my strength.  As far as a running back, I think everybody knew I could catch the ball, I could run and I could cut.

"I wanted to blow out my 40, which I didn’t."

McCoy ran the 40 in the 4.5-second range.  He wasn’t able to work out at the Scouting Combine in February because he was ill.

Just curious what the rest of you think of this prospect.  Lately the main RB's that have been mentioned around here are Chris Wells, Knowshon Moreno, and Donald Brown.  Do you guys think he is a strong possibility, or are the Eagles just "sampling all the flavors" so to speak?

[Note by JasonB, 03/26/09 11:25 PM EDT ] The Eagles have worked out both McCoy and Donald Brown, two of the top 4 backs in this draft. I think it's safe to say this isn't a smokescreen. They're going to take a back high.
