Eagles FO loves snooping on peoples Myspace

http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/41735892.html

Bob Brookover said in the Inquirer that Jack Ikegwuonu was talked to by the FO for a picture that ended up on his sisters Myspace.

Does anyone know what was the deal with the picture?

Personally, I would be more than a little upset if my bosses called me into the office because they were looking at my sisters Myspace and all that. What do you guys think?

Is it me or is this 2nd Myspace related incident too many with the Eagles FO?

For the record, I just think this stuff is really sad. But if we win the Championship I could care less. But, until then, I continue to be suprised at the way these guys do business.

Andy Reid: Why is the phone ringing?

Tom Heckert: I am busy Sir, rememeber we fired all the help to save money.

Andy Reid: Ok, Ill get it. Hello

Phone: This is Leonard Weavers agent, I've been calling for days and no one has answered. We want to come and sign.

Andy Reid: Ohh, sorry, we have been really busy, were currently conducting the monthly audit of everyones Myspace. We were kinda busy.

Phone: WTF? Myspace is more important than a Fullback?

Andy Reid: I still have decided on that one, I'll have to check my binder and I'll get back to you.

This is a little different. The picture was of him sitting next to a bong and got all around the web. I doubt the Eagles saw it on myspace. They probably saw it on one of the many many stories written about it. I think someone even posted it here.

Ohh, I didn’t hear anything about it actually.

As, long as he tests clean who cares.

It comes down to this. If you feel like making information (or pictures) of you public, then people are going to judge your character on these types of things. Also, it gives employers the opportunity to see what you’re really like, not the front you put up for the interview. And honestly, how can you really blame them? They’re investing tons of time and money into players… they’re going to use whatever means they can to gather as much info as they can. It’s only prudent.

i agree. look what happened to michael phelps. One picture and all of the sudden, sponsorships gone. I’m not saying that this situation is the same thing cuz obviously jack doesn’t have the same star power that phelps does.

I think what people do on there own time is there own business. As long as they’re not hurting anybody or themselves in anyway and continue to be productive…(not that jack has done anything yet) i don’t see how this should be a big problem.

Representing CANADA eh?

As long as the pic isn’t him doing it and he tests clean he should be left alone.

I don’t do that stuff and I have been at many parties that have all that stuff around. The reason is that it is everywhere and everyone does it. Remember the movie Blow? George said that.

Phelps isn’t too sharp or I guess he was feeling untouchable. I read that he was really being careless and hanging with people he never even met before. He could have had the party at his mansion and he would have been fine.

Yeah, but I think it’s appropriate for the Eagles to at least sit him down and give him a talking to. He’s not in trouble if he doesn’t test positive, but I think the team is right to say if we’re going to pay tons of money to play for us we’d like you to use a little more discretion.

I don’t really blame them. But my sisters info isn’t there business.

Don’t they have more important stuff to do? Like adding 2 years to Weavers contract maybe?

I am not sure how it was recieved on here but I think a lot of people overreacted to the Dan Leone firing because people made it seemed like he was the only one when it happens more times then you would think. As for Ikegwuonu I agree with JasonB that the Eagles need to make sure that young players don’t put themselves in that type of situation.

At least he was having a good time. Can’t hate on that, seems like its getting harder and harder to have a great time nowadays.

who cares

Who gives a rats ass, and wasn’t on his lil sisters facebook. You put shit on the internet, people are gonna see it. You play professional sports, poeple are gonna make a big deal about it.
All i care is he plays between the lines, w/o snorting them, and proves he’s the steal everyone claims he was. He can snort whatever wants if he plays like LT (taylor) on the field.

"Eagles fans are a passionate group who love their team," said McNabb, "if not the actual players. It's not like winning a Super Bowl before the first month of the season is the hardest thing they've ever asked of me. That'd be all those times they asked me to go kill myself."
