Hi, this is my first post here.
At #21 I believe the birds should bring in Brandon Pettigrew, TE, O state. Everyone knows we need a good blocking tight end and Pettigrew looks like the kind the kind we can pick up in an instant. He's also great and catching balls thrown his way and I think we need to pick him up as he fits two of our problems, namely an extra blocker and a redzone target.
At #28 I think we should try our hands at Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia. Westbrook, while good, does not have any depth at all behind him and pulls up injured or questionable a lot of the time, giving him a back like Knowshon who many say plays just like him will be a great boon for the birds. Knowshon fits our system perfectly as he can block as well as be a receiver out of the backfield, not to mention his phenomonal running skills.
Moving into round 2, and with #52, I would trade up and pick Max Unger, OL. Max, as well as being a beast, will give us some depth at every position besides left tackle, and would be a valuable contribution to the O-Line
In the third round, I say we go for Ramses Barden out of Cal Poly. At 6'6, he runs a great speed for his size with a large frame and great hands, I truly believe he is the posession receiver we need in our team.
Round 4, and Terrance Knighton, DT seems like a nose tackle we could use in nickle situations. at 6'3 and 321, he's big enough for situational and special teams pays, and seems like he could be a diamond in the rough.
Round 5, and I'd go for DJ Clark, CB if he's still on the board. I remember reading elsewhere that the Eagles have had a close look at him by bringing him in for a private workout, and at 6'2 and with a 4.45 time, we could use him to cover the likes of Fitz or Plaxico if the need arose.
After that, I think the birds can use any remaining picks to work on special teams, with possibly a small amount of depth to add to the LB corp at MLB, however, I don't think we'll find too many great diamonds there.
What do you think?
