eagles fans need to back this guy
and by this guy i mean one dan leone. an employee of the team who, upset that the eagles let dawkins go to another team, posts his displeasure on his facebook page and a couple of days later he gets fired...by phone. come on eagles fans - you guys need to be raging pissed by this. i'm sure the eagles look at it as an employee criticizing his employer in a public forum and they have a point but, come on...no warning? after six years of service? himself, a loyal fan? by phone???!!!

Same thing….don’t repost the same topic!

When there’s 5 different discussions on one topic that drown out any other conversations, yes, it is annoying.

+1
This happens all the time here. People getting so excited thinking they have “breaking news!” and just post away. Take a second and read before just posting on any thing thinking you’re the first to hear it!!

I don't back him ...
don’t talk shit on your employer if you can’t handle the punishment, if you think it’s fair or not.

yup and put yourself in the employer’s shoes… if some employee was talking smack on you to the whole world (and face it, that’s what the internet is), you’d can him in a heartbeat

Dont bite the hand that feeds you
To me the Eagles are like that girlfriend that pisses u off, then u hate her, but the next morning you wake up and remember that thing u love so much about her

I second that
He is still slandering his company on the internet, just because its the eagles doesnt mean he should still be allowed to talk bad of his employer

Does anyone know of any way to get in touch with the guy?

Jason -
I’d call or email John Gonzalez at 215-854-2813 or gonzalez@phillynews.com. He wrote the article everyone is referencing… I’m sure he’d be willing to call this guy and see if he would be interested in speaking with us

Fuck that guy. Insult your employer on a mega-public stage and expect not to get fired? I would’ve fired him for spelling it “retarted” (Hint: That’s not the right spelling!)

and I know people are going to say “It’s just facebook!” or “You shouldn’t have to watch what you say and do everywhere!”
It’s not watching what you say and do! It’s called not being a fucking idiot. Of course, people have always been able to get drunk off their asses and talk shit about their bosses, and they still can! DON’T PUT IT ON THE INTERNET, MORONS.

he reportedly set his status to …
“Dan is [expletive] devastated about Dawkins signing with Denver. . .Dam Eagles R Retarted!!”
I find it humorous that he used “retarted” when he himself is playing the disabled card.
