OK Now What?

Dawkins is gone and its the saddest day in Eagles History with out a  doubt, but lets get the Front Office to do something.

I"m personly Excited to see what demps could do, he stepped up last at the end and i think he is smart enough to learn as much as he could from Dawkins(like he said). it will be interesting to see how he does.

But with that said we can not have stacy be our big FA acquisition. Lets see a TE, RB, WR or something!

What do you guys feel is next? ether way afeter loosing our hear and soul we MUST see some Action!

we got 2 Q's

well we know quintin mikell is a stud, and he can play either safety postion. he’s no dawk but i’m glad we have him. i dont want some slouch to come in, i want a great draft pick to come in and play right away. i like demps but i dont know much about his playing ability.

Any Rumors

has anyone heard any updates on rumors going around

Ward visiting... Broncos. Housh visiting Vikings.

We’re not getting Housh, so quit dreaming about him.

Agreed

If we were making a play on him he would have been here already.

We need to do something else

other than Stacy i dont want to see the Draft be the only other form of aquisitions that the Eagles have this offseason we need to pick up another quality player with all this money its ridiculous nothing is happening yet, idk wat the FOs approach is this offseason but we already lost BDawks so i think they owe us something else

To me the Eagles are like that girlfriend that pisses u off, then u hate her, but the next morning you wake up and remember that thing u love so much about her

i definitely agree. we need to bring in some proven players to address our weak spots, such as tight end, full back, and another rb

We need to extend Bunkley and Steward Bradley as well.

We have plans, relax guys. Don’t freak out because we’re not scrambling to use up all 40 million of our cap space.

i understand were not gonna use all 48 mil

but all the players that were losing we have to do somehting more to make up for it im my opinion we have taken prolly a HUGE step back in the NFC picture with the Giants upgradig there line and the Haynesworth situation we need to come out big and do something to atleast last years level which i think we are way below

And we have MANY draft picks

I think stuff’s going to happen when the draft comes. We have more picks than spots available, really. We may be bundling some picks, me thinks.

dude we lost 2 players… relax

Those are good points Joe and 4321

When you build a young nucleus, you have to keep cap room available to extend those guys before they hit the market.

It’s generally misstated how much money the Eagles have to spend too, since they often spend it later in the cycle to extend their young guys.

I agree about not rushing to judgement a day and a half into the offseason. There will be some movement on draft day. We have the picks to acquire 2-3 guys that could step in right away, plus there are guys like Abiamiri and Laws that we have picked in the past who could dramatically increase their production this year.

Draft not the answer

How many players in the draft will be able to come in and start now? The Birds have to make some moves in FA with Buck gone we could use Derrick Ward, we still could use a TE and the pass rush could still use some help and we know Andy feels that the WRs are good but they could use some help. I’m ust tired of almost getting there.
