Haynesworth to Redskins for $100 million

This is reported on NFL.com on their main page.  Looks like the redskins are trying to solve their problems in free agency again because we all know they suck at drafting. I hope he is a bust. With Haynesworth in our division now, best believe Cap’n Andy will be shoring up our offensive line.

ANDY REID

probably just gave up on our running game for next season already. We all knew he was looking for an excuse to not have to run anyway, now he has it.

i’m going to be surprised if this guy is motivated for more than 4 games… he has no carrot now… his ship has come in! this signing doesn’t worry me at all

not at all. nevermind that this is typical dan snyder. they have holes all over their roster that they wont be able to fill now because of this monster contract.

two monster contracts… odds are they’re spent now… which is great… so they basically brought back someone they already had and signed one player… slow clap bravo

Yeah no kidding. This man just got a $100 million dollar deal with $41 million guaranteed! Staying motivated with that kind of money already guaranteed would be tough especially for a guy like Haynesworth.

if he doesn’t roll into camp with a case of Klondike bars chugging BBQ sauce, I’ll be shocked

Snyder

I am not worried about this signing at all. The Redskins are never a real threat to win anything and the way that Dan Snyder assembles his team is akin to that of a poorly drafted fantasy football team (see Taylor, Jason; Randle El, Antwan; and most recently Hall, DeAngelo). He isn’t the best teammate one can have and I don’t see motivation being a factor with him anymore. In short, good for them, but it will probably not work and will be another fail feather in Dan Snyder’s cap.

150 Mil on Haynesworth and Hall

I’m glad the Skins love to burn through their money…I’m predicting Haynesworth gets lazy and overweight and is an average DT over the life of the contract…

And since when does getting waived half way through a season and starting a couple of games with a new team get you a $50 M contract? Hall is nowhere near what Asante Samuel is but is getting paid like it…

The Skins only have $8 million in cap space left after Hall and Haynesworth. Yeesh.

I just wish

The Cowboys and Giants threw their money with the same abandon that The Redskins do.
