"I think that'll all take place within the next few days or week or whatever," said Reid, who is attending the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis. "There's communication."
Dawkins, who will turn 36 in October, was selected to play in the Pro Bowl for the seventh time after rebounding from an injury-plagued 2007 season. He has been with the Eagles 13 seasons and may be the team's most popular players.
Thomas, who will turn 35 next season, has been a mainstay at left tackle since the Eagles drafted him on the first round in 1998.
Dawkins and Thomas are among five veteran Eagles eligible for unrestricted free agency. The others are offensive tackle Jon Runyan, running back Correll Buckhalter and tight end L.J. Smith. Runyan is recovering from microfracture surgery on his right knee and is one month into a recovery period expected to take 4-6 months.

one last run
The window is closing, but I’m really happy these two will be back. LT is the biggest priority, so having filled that hole, the eagles have some flexibility in free agency and the draft.

The window has been closing for a long time...
I think the FO has done a good job of keeping the window open…i remember saying the window was closing when T. Vincent, B. Taylor, Duce and those guys were getting up there…
We’ve got young players in a lot of positions, especially on defense…we need to re-tool the offense the way we did the defense a few years back…
