Eagles make minor roster moves
The Eagles have released two players from their practice squad, OL Greg Isdaner and CB Stoney Woodson. IN their place comes former Penn State offensive lineman Gerald Cadogan.
Cadogan has spent time with the Panthers, Bengals, & Chargers. The 6-5 309lb lineman was a two year starter at LT for the Nittany Lions
Yesterday, the Eagles released WR Jordan Norwood which seems like a strong sign that DeSean Jackson will be back for this weekend.

I guess Norwood goes past waivers
and we can bring back to the practice squad?
if not our WR situation is getting scary after having so many good WRs to start the season
actually
Cadogan was regarded by some as a 3rd round prospect, and then went undrafted. He had a great 40 time for a OT (5.12), benched 220 lbs. 26 times (one of the best at the combine), VERY long arms (35 inches) and a good resume. With his good size, at 6’5, 210 lbs, this is a very solid signing. He will threaten the King next year to make the 53 man roster.
If he's so good
Why did he get chopped from 3 teams? I’ve been a PSU fan all my life and was convinced Cadogan had the best chance of all the Lions’ O linemen to make a roster. Then he didn’t even get drafted. Something’s up with this guy.
You can say that about every player
Something’s up with this guy.
There have been countless other times when players get cut and go on to succeed. I don’t like when people down a signing/player by using phrases that suggest there’s just something wrong with them because they haven’t been on headlines or stayed on one team for a long period of time.

I think Norwood has potential
but obviously he’s got to get past a crowded WR corps to prove his talent. Not that I want Jason Avant to leave, but should he depart into free agency following the season, perhaps Norwood would get a shot.

I wish the birds held onto Isdaner for a while longer… give him a shot, he is a real smart and tough player even though he might not be the tallest guy.

Releasing of Norwood is understandable! But
What if “only by chance” Djax gets another concussion! Fact..after ur first concussion, u are now more susceptible to them!! Curtis is a big what if. What if he doesnt get his speed back which was his primary weapon. Good hands but GREAT speed! What if his Knee and or Sports hernia acts up AGAIN! Positive side.. at least Reggie could step in for a while. Im just concerned about Djax tryna rush back and Curtis just straight up not coming back fully! I know we won’t need Curtis to be Curtis of old…but wouldn’t that be nice though…The point is to get as many playmakers on the field at once! If Curtis could comeback and play like 2007 form. We’d have Djax, Jmac, and Curtis all speed all day. Will Curtis fully recover and bring the old speed back……Tick tock tick tock

And more importantly....Maclin has some Injuries!
I mean..the guy has a Foot injury! And Reid said that it is “flaring up again”! Again…when did it flare up the first time.!?!
I know we needed to clear up some roster space..and It’s only Norwood..but, with Curtis still hurt and Maclin battling a Foot injury, and as we know..Maclin’s another speed guy, this could get bad!! Now Im NOT saying our season is over, or now we’re screwed nuttn like that. I think we’ll be Ok but that extra WR could be needed just in case we get into a tight situation with WR personell thats all !

they signed only one guy to replace two
so im pretty hopeful he gets placed back on the squad
NORWOODS back on the Practice Squad
as of today.
