that is strictly how it is

we may bitch for 2-3 games of the season b.c of goaline situations, playcalling, etc but we are perenially in the top 6 in the NFC.

To me the Eagles are like that girlfriend that pisses u off, then u hate her, but the next morning you wake up and remember that thing u love so much about her

Well Deserved

JIBTA, I don’t always see eye to eye with you, but well said. We all give Andy Reid much criticism. But despite his imperfections, he has made our Eagles into a perrenial contender. This is also the source of much of our torchure. But we’ll get there under Reid.

well said….

We are what we are because of him

and just as with McNabb, we have to accept the bad with the good, and in both cases, the latter far outweighs (no pun intended) the former.

I’d rather have Reid than any coach who is or will be available any time soon. Plus I think continuity is SO underrated in the NFL.

Wokjab, I hope you’re right that we’ll get there. Maybe when we do, Reid will brilliantly manage challenges, timeouts and the clock in the 4th quarter while running the ball down the other team’s throat to win the Super Bowl.

I am not happy.

You all know that I hate Reid. And I’ll continue to do so. But, that being said, Go Birds!

I don't like Reid but that doesn't mean that I don't respect him

I like the resigning and I think he deserves it.

He has shut me up consistantly. His roster moves are getting better every year and he is a good drafter.

I wish he would fire Mortingwig and stop being so passive(Hmmm) at times. What else can I say? I hate his offensive play calls and his lack of time management.

*Today was a good example: When he through the challenge flag for the fumble. Even I knew that he couldn’t callenge that play! WTF? How come he doesn’t know that? It is his career to know this stuff!

Fan shots are tidbits of info you might want to share but you don’t want to write 75 words or a whole report on it to make it a Post. A lot of good things come out of fan shots – including a lot of my posts. LMAO

yeah – I definitely don’t think fanshots are a waste of space… especially when a lot of them are picked up by JasonB and put on the main page. that obviously means that information on fanshots should be reviewed or addressed – making the fanshot interesting or important for football fans… or in the case of a hilarious video like below.

I seriously don't see how you can hate Reid (aka EvilBanner)

Reid is the MAIN reason we have been a contender this decade. I hate how ungrateful some Eagles fans are. He’s drafted numerous pro bowl players including the BEST Eagles QB in franchise history McNabb. He flat out WINS and brings TALENT to our football team and you hate on him cause of a few flaws and bad calls. What coach doesn’t?

I’m ecstatic that we’re about to see him get extended and continue our success.

by xEdgeCamx on Dec 6, 2009 11:27 PM EST reply actions

It is easy.

He makes bad moves and I call him out for it. What’s not to dislike?

"Right now Winston Justice is the guy...until that person gets back out there"

by EvilBanner on Dec 10, 2009 4:16 PM EST up reply actions

He also makes a lot more right moves than wrong moves and been one of the three best coaches of the past decade.

I’m about to be very blunt. Suck it. You’re stupid. Andy Reid and Joe Banner make mistakes and have flaws, just like every human being on the planet, but they’re pretty goddamned good at their jobs and you’ve got to be an idiot to claim otherwise or to expect much better.

by CJ's Eagles on Dec 6, 2009 11:59 PM EST reply actions

I'm happy

for him.. I just hope he can lead us to the big game again and win it. Which brings me to this – Anyone think that McNabb will be here as long as Reid once he gets his extension (depending on how long it is). I just can’t picture Reid without McNabb and vice versa. But I guess thats what we got Kolb for. That will be a sad day.

Its Just Funny How great coaches Aren't Great Coaches Anymore

Once Their Franchise Qb Leaves….It Happened to Holgrem, It happened to shannahan…..Ppl dont appreciate Mcnabb for what he is but they will be crying for him Once hes gone…where is Mia once marino Left? Denver without Elway? Wait and See but dont think that Mcnabb has not had a HUGE part in what Reid has accomplished

by CJ's Eagles on Dec 7, 2009 12:11 AM EST reply actions

.It Happened to Holgrem

?

He went from Brett Favre and Packers to taking the friggen’ Seahawks and Matt Hasselbeck to the Super Bowl. Even though Favre is one of the most overrated QB in history…there’s still a big gap in talent between Favre and Hasselbeck.

RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.

I used to hate Big Red

everything he does/has done was good except for what I thought was his play calling, and I feel like many people forget this. He doesn’t call plays, Marty does. I am all for getting rid of Marty now, though.

A Cowher Eagles or a Shanahan Eagles would trounce a Reid Eagles.

"Right now Winston Justice is the guy...until that person gets back out there"

by EvilBanner on Dec 10, 2009 4:15 PM EST up reply actions

Cowher? Maybe, definitely wouldn't trounce though.

Shannahan? God that guy is so overrated. He’s 24-24 in his last three season, his last game was a 52-21 blowout lost (where they scored 8 points in gimmie time during the 4th quarter) to the Chargers when it was Division Title-or-go-home, won the division title in AFC West ONCE this decade, won 1 playoff game since the back-to-back Super Bowl wins, and not a good GM that he wants to be.

Just because a dude won two Super Bowls 10 years ago doesn’t mean he’s still good.

RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.

by Imp on Dec 10, 2009 5:26 PM EST up reply actions

Just because a dude had John Elway 10 years ago doesn’t mean he’s good.*

Perhaps it is you who aren't that smart...

“Just because a dude had John Elway 10 years ago doesn’t mean he’s good.” This is really cute, until you actually think about it and consider that Dan Reeves couldn’t win a Super Bowl with Elway. Shanahan did.

Note: During his NFL career, Shanahan has been a part of teams that have played in 10 Conference Championship Games, in addition to his six Super Bowl appearances, five with Denver and Super Bowl XXIX with San Francisco.

You’re a moron.

by EvilBanner on Dec 14, 2009 7:09 PM EST up reply actions

This is really cute, until you actually think about it and consider that Mike Shanahan only won one playoff game in AN ENTIRE DECADE after John Elway retired.

by yomjoseki on Dec 17, 2009 6:46 PM EST up reply actions

Bonus: His combined record from coaching the Raiders and coaching the Broncos AFTER Elway retired: 99-81 during the regular season and 1-4 in the playoffs.

by yomjoseki on Dec 17, 2009 6:50 PM EST up reply actions

Also, I would LOVE for Mike Shannahan to be coaching the Cowboys next year. That’d be so fantastic.

I am the people's troll :3™

by yomjoseki on Dec 14, 2009 2:22 PM EST up reply actions

laughable at best,

Shanahan’s record 146-98-0 winning pct .598 Superbowl Championships: 2 Division Championships: 4 Conference Championships 2

Cowher’s record 149-90-1 winning pct .623 Superbowl Championships: 1 Division Championships: 9 Conference Championships: 2

Andy Reid record 106-66-1 winning pct .616 Superbowl Championships: 0 Division Championships: 6 Conference Championships: 1

Shanahan won back to back Superbowls with Denver but would he guarantee success here? It was a team he didn’t even build and what did he do after that? Oh just 10 seasons of jack shit 4 trips to the playoffs and 1 win way to go.

Cowher? Yea he won a Superbowl in his 14th season as Pits head coach for those keeping count this is reads 11th season.

This is a ridiculous argument.
