Falcons RB Michael Turner likely out for Sunday
According to NFL.com the Falcons will be missing yet another major piece of their offense with their star RB Michael Turner likely to miss Sunday's game.
Falcons RB Michael Turner isn’t expected to play against the visiting Eagles on Sunday after re-aggravating an ankle sprain during last Sunday’s victory over the Buccaneers, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Jason Snelling, who filled in for Turner in a loss to the Giants two weeks ago and had a game-high 76 rushing yards, is expected to start in Turner’s place. Jerious Norwood will back up Snelling.
It was announced earlier this week that QB Matt Ryan would also miss this weekend's game. Of course the Eagles aren't without their own injuries as they'll be without DeSean Jackson, Akeem Jordan, and of course Brian Westbrook.

They are seriously banged up on offense...
Their wide receivers are listed as questionable right now.
This is from the Falcoholic…
….We’re hurting on offense. Matt Ryan is out, Michael Turner is likely out and both Michael Jenkins and Roddy White are banged up. White will gut it out and Jenkins probably will too, but we’re in enough trouble against a fierce Eagles blitzing attack as it is. Let’s hope the Eagles do something criminally insane to help us out, like have Michael Vick start at quarterback.
If the Eagles don’t win this game…..

I really felt earlier in the year that the Falcon would be a tough matchup for you guys
and actually thought the Falcons would beat you. So much for that.
Its not always who you play but when you play them.
KICK ASS every day!!!
Sort of a shame that so many players are hurt for this important game between too great teams that need the win.
Eagles without Andrews, Westbrook and Jackson
Falcons without Turner Ryan Williams Dahl Jerry and Harvey
The game would be more fun to watch with both teams at full strength.
But that is football, and I think whoever’s backups play better is an interesting thing to watch too.
For Philly, continued good play from Mac, Avant, and McCoy will be the key.
For Atlanta, getting production from Redman, Snelling, Weems, and Norwood will be the key.
Surprising stat, but Redman actually had more fantasy football points last week than Donavan. That QB also hit a game winning TD on 4th down with 23 seconds left.
Atlanta is also like 12 and 1 in the Georgia Dome since Smith arrived.
I predict a hard fought game that goes down to the wire.
Correction...
Eagles are without stud starting MLB Bradley, Westbrook, Jackson, starting WILL backer Jordan, nickel and dime backs Hobbs, Hanson, Kevin Curtis, Shawn Andrews and likely Stacy Andrews.
No team in the league can match that.

Like I said, both teams are hurting from injuries, and it is too bad.
But, I still contend Falcons have more key injuries.
Falcons no 1 draft choice Jerry, is out for season, and their 2nd rounder is hurt, while McCoy and Maclin are playing for the Eagles.
Philly’s starting QB McNabb is playing, but Ryan is out for Atlanta.
Asante, Philly’s top secondary man is playing, but Williams, the top DB for Atlanta is out for the season.
Douglass, the top return man and no 3 receiver for Atlanta is out for the season, and no 2 WR Jenkins is out, while Philly still has Avant and Maclin playing.
I could go on and on, but it isn’t close in terms of key injuries.
My point is only that this game would be a lot more fun to watch if both teams were at full strength.
