JIBTA: Here's a Question for You!

JIBTA has longed for a big bruising back.  He’s been all over Brandon Jacobs from day 1, and was really mad that we didn’t figure a way to grab Beanie Wells in the draft.  I’m calling him out publicly to see if he believes Leonard Weaver is that guy he swears we’ve been missing.

*Leonard Weaver: 6’0”; 250lbs*

62 Carries, 301yds, 4.9ypc, 2 TDs (Longest was 41yds for a TD)

15 Rec, 140yds, 9.3ypr, 2TDs (Longest was 59yds)

*Brandon Jacobs: 6’4”; 264lbs*

202 Carries, 782yds, 3.9ypc, 5TDs (Longest was 31yds)

17 Rec, 182yds, 10.7ypr, 1TD (Longest was 74yds for a TD)

*Beanie Wells: 6’1”; 228lbs*

153 Carries, 706yds, 4.6ypc, 6TDs (Longest was 34yds)

11 Rec, 118yds, 10.7ypr, 0TDs (Longest was 24 yds)

Size: Check. Jacobs does have 4 inches on Weaver, but Weaver has 20lbs on Wells.  It seems that Weaver is right between these guys on the size scale and fits the ‘you can’t teach size’ line that JIBTA loves so much.

Speed: Check.  He has the longest run of the three, and a 59 yard TD grab and run.  As a side-note, for all of Wells’ 4.5-40 combine, he hasn’t moved more than 34 yards in a play this year, and that play didn’t go for a TD, which means guys are able to catch him and get him down.

Yards per carry:  Check, Weaver leads them all!

Yards per reception: Weaver lags behind both of them by about a yard and a half, but I’ll take just under 10 yards/catch.

Red Zone threat?: Check, Weaver has 4TDs in only 77 touches.  Jacobs has 6 TDs, but he’s touched the ball 219 times!  Wells also has 6TDs, but he’s touched the ball 164 times!

Clearly, the biggest difference between these guys is the number of touches.  For all we've asked Weaver to do, he's been brilliant.  So, JIBTA, what do you think?  Does Weaver fit the mold you’re looking for?

bs .. weaver cannot be a big back .. wells and jacobs are the best ..

no way weaver competes on there level .. bring back TO ..

no but really, weaver’s the big guy we’ve been looking for, we have to resign him, also go look at John Connor of kentucky, he’s not your average fullback either.

no but really he’s a fullback for Kentucky they call him the Terminatior… He went this entire season without a negitive yardage play.

I dont think we need a ""big back""

I think we need a back that runs hard. Did anyone see Johnathan Steward last night?

How about Trent is better than Osi?

JIBTA, change your name to Trent is better than Osi or Trent is better than Julius or Trent is better than Allen. That would be better

by tanman5 on Dec 21, 2009 2:52 PM EST reply actions

No. If he did that, he would lose his ridiculous character. Trent is better than Osi… dude, that shit is obvious. What makes JIBTA a genius is that he (and only he) can see that Ikegwuonu’s possible status as a first round pick before his ACL tear makes him an automatic stud.

About 10 minutes ago, I was pondering my own existence. Then I decided that it didn't matter.

no

trent is not better than peppers u idiot .. wow that was dumb .. better than allen? hahahahahaahah not even an eagles fan would dare say hes better than allen

Allen is a good pass rusher...

Cole is a good pass rusher, but Cole can chase people down and thats something Allen doesnt really bring to the table…

I say its about even.

bs

dude thats a joke .. if u would take cole over allen ur a idiot .. allen is clearly the better play .. hes bigger stronger .. and gets to the qb more .. cole is a nice player .. very good .. but hes not allen
