Jeremy Maclin and Brian Westbrook appear set to return this weekend
At his Monday press conference Andy Reid announced that Jeremy Maclin will return to practice this Wednesday. He specifically said that Maclin would be "eased in" and could play this weekend if all goes well with his foot injury
Reid also had some encouraging news about Brian Westbrook. He said he expects Westbrook to be fully cleared to play this weekend and will use him in a limited fashion. He said he thinks it's important to get Westbrook worked in over the next two weeks in preparation for the playoffs.

So
does westbrook become the 3rd down back? I say that’s a good role for him at this point. McCoy runs harder at this point, but westy is still superior in the passing game (including blocking).
My "t" and "y" buttons are messed up so don't bitch at me about misspelling, I'm just saying.

Should Westbrook start right away so he can get going?
or should he take it easy and work his way back in?
Also could Maclin be in danger or re-injuring his foot?
Can you hear that???
That noise in the distance?? Oh yeah, I know what it is, it’s the sound that Optimus Prime made when he was resurrected at the end of the last Transformers movie, right before he kicked the shit out of Dall….I mean Megatron…
Terrible movie, but great scene.
Technically he kicked the crap out of the fallen

that movie
doesn’t do justice to the original transformers movie. stupid hollywood, always screwing up great stories.
+1000
haha…The original animated movie is sooooo much better than either modern day version minus the absence of Megan Fox.
The new ones could have atleast included the sweet 80s jams from the original movie haha

hopefully
Westbrook will come in and catch a couple passes, not run between the tackles too much. Leading us to a first round bye would HUGE.

Brian Westbrook. Leonard Weaver. LeSean McCoy. Jeremy Maclin. DeSean Jackson. Jason Avant. Brian Celek. Donovan McNabb.
Good luck, defenses across the league.
How's his thigh?
I hesitated to put him on the list because I didn’t know how much time he’d need. He looked like he was hurting yesterday.
You forgot our pro bowlers “downtown” Reggie Brown and Kevin “I’ll drop 30 balls and still get 1000 yards” Curtis.
Andy Reid is 43-5 when running the ball at least 30 times in a game( Ray Diddy on Eagles Post Game Live after Bears Victory)

hahahaha
Curtis dropped another easy one last night…mustve been the hernia or the ankle that affected his hands that play.
I know…too hard on the guy…I know.

I think it will be a good thing with Westbrook back, you can use him 25-30 yards away from
Pay-dirt situations. All other times just nail Desean with 20+yard passes or run it up the middle with Shady.
Actions speak louder than black people in a movie theater......

I'd rest them this week
Particularly Maclin. Brown has been playing well. Let Maclin heal completely before the playoffs
I partially agree…. if Maclin can play, let him play… but don’t rush him back to practice. I’d rather not see him rush back to full practice with an injury like this. If he’s ready to go full-go on Friday, then let him play. If not, it can’t hurt to give him another weak off to heal.
The Eagles are the first team in NFL history to have a running back and a wide receiver with 500 yards apiece in the same season before their 22nd birthdays.
i have no problem giving westbfrook 5 touches this game and about 8 in Dallas
We’ll need him in the playoffs.
The scary thing is we left some points on the board against SF. This offense is rollin!
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!
I think it means less Weaver, unfortunately...
The majority of Weaver’s carries have come from the 3 WR, 1 RB set, which is typically a passing formation. They’ve used Weaver in those formations because of his pass blocking ability, but have also given him the ball to keep the defense honest.
Since Westbrook is also extremely adept at pass blocking, I think the Weave loses his job as the back in the 3 WR sets.
Excellent
Work back in Westbrook really slowly. Hell, I would use him only on 3rd downs the next 2 weeks. Get him accustomed to this role again and let him succeed in the roles he really shines (blitz pickup, checkdown/screen option).
Glad Maclin will be back much sooner than thought too. Brown hasn’t shown much at all and Curtis is washed up.
with all we as Eagles fans, along with players & coaches have seen & suffered for all these years, I do believe this team, this year is ours! Eagles vs Chargers in the superbowl, with Philly (McNabb & Reid finally getting that monkey off their backs. Too much offense(if/when used approprioately) for any team to handle, the O-line has gotten healthy and have established chemistry, we are rolling into Miami in Feb winning the damn thang! Ya betta believe it…
