Oh Lord, The Cowboys are the Best team in the NFL!!!

Eagles fans! We have every reason in the world to be worried now. The Cowboys beat the Saints so now they are the best. The best of the best. Better than the best. I mean they beat the Saints something that other 13 teams couldn't do. What are we going to do now? I'm so worried.

Now as it shapes. Their record in the month of December this year is 1-2. They lost to the Giants (a team we swept and that swept them) and the Chargers, but still. They beat the Saints. They just became unstoppable. I realize that they have lost 5 games this year. But still they are the best team in the NFL because they beat the Saints. So far there losses have been to the the Broncos, Chargers, New York, and Green Bay; but they beat the Saints. Suddenly, they became the team to fear in the division. Everyone should be scared because now they have completely turned their December woes and Super Bowl winning season around because they beat the Saints.

Now they are still second in the Division. And if they beat the Redskins, the Eagles are going to have to do something we haven't done since last year--beat them at the end of the season. Oh God! How are we ever going to do that? I mean we haven't done it since last year. How are we ever going to do it again? Can DeSean Jackson still be DeSean Jackson? Can McNabb still work the Cowboys defense? Can the secondary still toy with Romo? Can Trent Cole still get pressure on Romo? I don't know. I mean before they beat the Saints I could say so with ease. But now that they beat the Saints, I don't know. I am shaking in my boots. The hairs on the back of my neck are standing up. We have only beat the Cowboys 7/8 times in the second meeting with them with no losses in December and January. But that was before they beat the Saints. Now that they have, this completely changes everything. Now the are the team of the decade. The rulers of the NFC East. America's Team once again!

Eagles fans. We must cower. Its the only way to handle it. Join me as we run to the hills to avoid the power of the Almighty Star of the South. Its the only solution. Fear the Cowboys, Eagles fans! Its the last hope.

If by work the Cowboys D, you are referring to the game earlier this year when you guys put up 13, then probably. We have already beaten you guys in Philly and should be favourite in week 17.

The Knights season may have just ended, but the Cowboys year is just begining!

by aussie_cowboy on Dec 20, 2009 4:47 PM EST reply actions

If the Cowboys are favored at all in Week 17, it’s only by one or two points due to home field advantage. Guaranteed. Basing favorites and the victor off of past games is ridiculous. Are the Cowboys the same as when they beat the Eagles? No. How about the Eagles? No. You might be a Cowboys fan, but you cannot deny that basing games off of past results is a dumb idea. If that were the case, not to be redundant, but last year’s Week 17 should make people think that in every Cowboys-Eagles game this year, we’d be 20 point favorites. Football does not work like that, of course. This is the NFL, where the bad teams like the Raiders can win, and teams can be swept by the underachieving Giants.

To be completely honest, congrats and all to beating New Orleans, but I personally think it was a case of the “worser” team losing rather than the better team winning. That was not Drew Brees and his WR’s at their best, Reggie Bush was injured near halftime, their secondary is banged up, etc and all the excuses on why NO lost. New Orleans underperformed. Dallas performed. Nothing more, nothing less. You fans, of all fans, should recognize (or at least understand) that the past means nothing when it comes to a football season.

It should be a pretty even fight on Week 17 in Dallas. Two talented teams against one another. As an Eagles fan, I just hope we win more. :) And personally, I’d love it if we were the underdogs – we seem to perform better that way.

I didn't mean that the Cowboys will be favourites because of this year's earlier game.

I just raised that point to suggest that the sarcasm about Dallas on this post is unneeded. The Cowboys are a good team and one that can play with the Eagles (who btw I also admit are a good team).

In reference to

I personally think it was a case of the "worser" team losing rather than the better team winning. That was not Drew Brees and his WR’s at their best, Reggie Bush was injured near halftime, their secondary is banged up, etc and all the excuses on why NO los

I do not believe that to be the case. Brees and his WRs were not at their best due to our good Defensive play (Dont forget we kept SD to their lowest points total of the year the week previous) We were able to get consistent pressure on Brees (something most other teams have been unable to do) and our secondary, especially the much improved Mike Jenkins played solid press coverage.

On the injury front, while the Saints had problems, all teams do. The Cowboys had to limit their best player’s snaps due to his neck injury, we have a starting O-lineman injured. The aforementioned Jenkins missed some time with injury, our starting safety is also out, along with a few other players. NO underperformed because Dallas forced them to. The Cowboys outplayed a very good team yesterday, and you really should realise that.

Finally, I agree completely with this:

It should be a pretty even fight on Week 17 in Dallas. Two talented teams against one another. As an Eagles Cowboys fan, I just hope we win more. :)

The Knights season may have just ended, but the Cowboys year is just begining!

All we know is that the only times the Cowboys played them, they also completely outplayed them. So I doubt that the saints win 9/10. I dont really see how you could logically argue that there is any team in the league against which Dallas or Philly wouldn’t have a good chance of winning.

yea cause there is no way

that our defense had anything to do with Brees having a bad game. Or their offense being shut down for most of the game. I mean how can you say that when the same team ran all over your defense. It just wouldn’t be right to compliment a team that played better defensively against them and especially the Cowboys.

You guys played your absolute best game, pretty much error free ball. The Saints played pretty poorly considering their level of play the rest of the year. You came away with a big win where you embarrassed a previously undefeated team. I don’t think anyone is completely discounting the impact of how well your team played, but I think we all know if the Saints had played their best game (like when they raped the Eagles) they’re pretty much unstoppable.

Yeah, there’s plenty of stuff your team affected, but you can’t affect mental errors and the like. Those went in your favor. Congrats on the win, see you in week 17 for the division.

Except that I said the Cowboys embarrassed the Saints, as in, the game wasn’t even close? Ease up, guy. I never said you only won because they played terribly. You only killed them because they played terribly, sure, but the Cowboys could’ve won with the Saints playing a little better, it just would’ve been a closer game. However, probably 7 games out of 10 the Saints win that game and any realistic Cowboys fan would admit as much. Either way, like I said, grats and stuff, and we’ll see you in about a week.

Let's be honest...

The Saints haven’t been the same team for some time. They’ve been scratching out wins for weeks. It has been a while since they’ve been the unstoppable force. It’s not how you play in September and October.

Now as for d, let’s see if this was really them turning it on or an aberration. Recent history tells us the latter. I wouldn’t get overexcited about one game. We’ve seen time and again “on any given Sunday.”

just as youve said, the saints havent been “the saints” since like mid way through the year.. theyre not like the colts because they arent used to winning as consistently, which explains their lack luster performances the past 5 weeks or so.. they trounced the pats but their D isnt that great anymore and theyre a team you can get riled up to play against and beat because of their recent success. the cowboys on the otherhand.. well, lets just say they havent amounted to much this past decade.. so trouncing them would not have been that much of a statement. unlike the colts, who find ways to bring their A game no matter who they play, the saints might very well have lazed around all week (exaggeration, of course). the cowboys are good, ill give you guys that.. but the saints havent been drew brees 6 td performance good since early in the year (with the Patriot exception, of course)

to be fair

the aints did beat up on the NFC East, the toughest division in the NFC, and probably in football on a year in year out basis. This year I think is no exception. The aints got lucky a few times this year (vs wash, vs Philly – McNabb out, and Kolb’s pick-a-thon, and vs Atl to name a few), and they did have a weak schedule (last week they had more wins than the rest of their division COMBINED!), but the NFC East also played those teams, with the Giants getting embarrassed by one… We didn’t get the benefit of facing the Lions though… I’m no little d apologist either – it’s in my top 3 of most hated teams in all of sports, along with the yankees and devils (OK, top 4 – penguins now included in that list after the last 2 years). But i can see how a cowgirls fan could believe that after last week.

by tanman5 on Dec 20, 2009 9:42 PM EST up reply actions

Ah, definitely took that too seriously. :P Never can tell on these boards.

Never meant to say that the Cowboys were terrible during the game. Yeah, the Defense was great last night, and (although I refuse to acknowledge Miles Austin’s existence beacuse of his darn swagger) I always though Marion Barber ran just as hard as the rest of them, and he proved me right last night. But, I just can’t help but think that New Orleans gave the Cowboys more help on defense than…well, the actual defense (save for Ware). Henderson’s (I think it was him) drop right in the endzone is a prime example, and it pretty much sums up how Brees and the Saints were playing. That was not a defensive play: he was wide open, and he just sat there like a five year old rolling a ball back and forth with his toddler friend. While every team has injuries, good teams have the ability to overcome them. New Orleans could not overcome injuries in the backfield. Dallas has very few injuries, which is a godsend for any NFL team. Another factor hat led to a NO loss. And…well, the one thing good for Eagles fans that came out of this is that New Orleans is at least now a little banged up from a loss, and the game plan’s out for New Orleans. Good job with that. XD

Hey, all in good fun, all in good fun. Should be a great game.

We’ve lost to the Chargers, the Raiders (whom the Cowboys beat) and… the Saints (whom the Cowboys beat) and…. the Cowboys (whom the Cowboys are). So I think anyone arguing the Cowboys are as good or better than us are making a pretty solid argument. I will refrain from talking shit simply because I not only don’t need to jinx the team, I know as an unbiased fan they’re every bit as good as we are and week 17 can go either way.

I’m glad we clinched playoffs but unless the Cowboys lose next week and we win, the division won’t be decided until week 17 and we still may have to face them yet again in the playoffs.

Look I dont know what you mean by
you’d take a raiders game over two losses to the Giants

It wouldn’t work so well If I put that in my sig. I agree that divisional games are of prime importance, which is why I responded to you earlier by saying that either team could win between us and the Skins. I believe the division will come down to our week 17 matchup, which I also think will be extremely close.

The Eagles lost to the Saints (who we beat), they lost to the Raiders (who we beat) and they lost to us (who we are).

His sig

I’m pretty sure his signature was based on this line, which I thought was pretty funny.

I’m still not talking shit until the season is over. They already beat us. Also, their losses are to pretty good teams. We’ve lost to the Chargers, the Raiders (whom the Cowboys beat) and… the Saints (whom the Cowboys beat) and…. the Cowboys (whom the Cowboys are).

I would call this a harmless joke, but in general the logic is annoying as hell.

I remember after the Cowboys swept the giants and then met in the divisonal round a few years ago, some insanely stupid giants fan claimed the giants would win because Dallas beat Green Bay by 6 while New York beat them by 10 (or whatever the numbers were)…but because New York won, he probably thought the logic holds.

This was a funny post

But I hope you are reacting to the mainstream media rather than the Dallas fanbase. Sure we were pumped after taking down an undefeated team, but everyone over on BTB is still in serious question about our season. We aren’t even concerned with the Eagles now, even the Skins are worrying us because we need to take it one game at a time, and not lose focus on division games. We have a lot to accomplish before we are a great team, just don’t stereotype our entire fanbase. Congrats on the playoff berth, but I’m really hopin we can take the division week 17.

Ya we got swept by the giants but we also beat the raiders. So talk all the garbage you want. I guess if I want to read knowledgable stuff better stick to bdawks stuff not this idiots.

I think this post is poking fun at how crazy the mainstream media (ESPN) gets over the cowboys. Too me this kind of goes both ways, as soon as the cowboys are doing well, they are suddenly the most dangerous team in the NFL, but if they have a bad game, they are now the same old choking cowboys.

I dont think this is really meant to slander the cowboys but vent frustration over the lover affair with the cowboys. I was actually dreading watching espn if we (eagles) lost today. It would have been absolutely crazy how much cowboy crap I would have had to put up with.

Luckily that didnt happen so it will just be the normal amount of cowboy fellatio.

No disrespect, I know the cowboys are legit, the East is going to be a race.

by Tbot86 on Dec 20, 2009 11:16 PM EST up reply actions

I get the exact opposite feeling from espn.

I feel like they don’t ever have anything to say good about the cowboys. I bet everybody at btb feels the same. Have you ever seen a qb as critized as romo? Well sorry to the poster I just read it out of context. I actually thought he was being serious. Nobody gave Dallas a chance to win and now they did people are jumping on the bandwagon I can see how that’s frustrating.

by regaberto on Dec 20, 2009 11:53 PM EST up reply actions

Yea I can def see what you mean. Thats kinda what I meant too, if the cowboys are down, ESPN is all about trashing them, but when they are up its the exact opposite.

I guess from my perspective, I have no problem with them being trashed, its just so extreme, when they win a tough game, the media goes crazy.

Romo never cries, i don't know where this crap comes from.

My brother (a Giants fan) says this too, but I have yet to see it. Opposing team fans seem to hate Romo for the reason that he is very good, but hide it by saying he is a crybaby and arrogant, both of which characteristics he never displays. He is very good at avoiding controversial topics in interviews. “You’re never as good as they say you are when you’re playing well, and you’re never as bad as they say you are when you’re playing poorly.” That is quintessential Romo. I mean, hate on him all you want for his play, but lets not kid here, the guy is a class act.

You sound like a tough guy

You must be right. He never cried when he broke his pinky (it was actually not even his pinky). And he sat out a game, which most quarterbacks would have done if they did the same thing. Plus its an injury, they can’t help it, your quarterback (and running back for that matter) gets hurt all the time.

by witten82 on Dec 27, 2009 11:39 AM EST up reply actions

ok so your telling me that

Romo NEVER cry’s on National TV when I see it once a year at bare minimum???

And most QB’s dont throw the way Romo does and could adjust to throwing w/o there pinky, he couldnt therefore he sat, Payton Manning played in the superbowl w/ a fractured thumb or something close to that and he STILL PLAYED, not to mention he played 1-2 games in the playoffs with it..

Our QB gets hurt because he actually plays and will put his body on the line, I think 3 cracked ribs, a torn ACL, Sports hernia, cracked sternum, and broken ankle are pretty worthy of missing time.. On the other hand Romo breaks a finger and cannot play.

And Westbrooks always the walking wounded, has been for 2-3 years now, but for the 2 years before this season Westy only missed time when he fucked his ankle up pretty bad and messed his knee up.. And this year he missed time due to concussions, I highly doubt you could take a knee to the back of the head and not have a concussion and I doubt you could get rocked as bad as he did against SD and not have a concussion…

McNabb and Westbrook are much tougher that Romo, Once he plays through an injury you cannot even judge McNabb or westy’s injuries.. Oh and McNabb played on a broken Ankle.

First off

Peyton never did that. It was rumored that Brett Favre did that one year in the playoffs (whom was addicted to painkillers). Second, I was was just making a point that everyone gets hurt. I am actually a big defender of McNabb. He is a tough guy, and I never said Romo was tougher than either. Its all speculation, you can’t really factually prove that. Fact is, I can sit hear all day and listen to you compare dick sizes all day, but I couldn’t give a rat’s ass who is tougher, I just want a damn Superbowl.

well techniquely Im talking about as far back as I can remember...

I cant remember the last time the eagles won a superbowl, however they have made it to one within the last 15(?) years since your last Superbowl…

But you cannot really compare the 90’s cowboys who won the superbowl to the players today… The players today are in a totally different generation, they’re bigger, faster and stronger, I bet the eagles team today could beat the Cowboys superbowl team(s) of the 90’s… Not talking shit but I just think the difference in talent from then to today is to much to overcome…

Point being you really cannot compare your 90’s team to any teams of today, however you can compare the Recent cowboys teams to the recent eagles teams in my opinion… And as of recent history the eagles have done far better than the cowboys and I think even most cowboys fans would agree with me on that one.

I'd like to agree but...

I’m not sure there is a big difference in the quality of players in the last 20 years. In fact, the pre-salary cap era allowed the nucleus of basically, an all-pro offense to stay together. When you look at their team, the talent was ridiculous. It was like the freakin Yankees. That’s why I can’t stand either. I like the salary cap in football and wish MLB did the same. I want a level playing field.

Now ignore what I said and go back to my basic axiom. d sucks, always has and always will.

Both QB’s have demonstrated the ability to dominate, or screw the pooch, in any given week, regardless the stakes. I love me some Eagles, but I’ll wait to do my trash talking until after the game.

See, this is the smart way to handle things. I stopped talking trash about 2 seasons ago, after the humiliation down the stretch when we fielded arguably the best team in the NFC, and it doesn’t work. And anyone talking shit as a fan of either team, especially given both teams ability to have absolutely awful games, needs to get a reality check. I see both teams winning next week as well, forcing the division and more importantly, home field advantage, in week 17. The only good thing is even if Dallas loses that game, they already did beat Philly in Philly, and aside from the 44-6 debacle, Tony has done decent in his other two trips to Philly, so we definitely would have a fighting chance. Should be a close race down the stretch.

No, I’m just not a biased, mouthbreathing fucking retard like many (maybe the majority) of Eagles fans. I seriously can’t stand like half the people here that don’t know anything about football. Eagles are a very good team and can hang with anyone, but nothing is a given and the Eagles aren’t head and shoulders above anyone. It’s something called “being realistic”.

I am the people's troll :3™

Who said I wasn’t used to it? I just said I didn’t like it. Learn to read. Also, way not to refute anything I said.

Telling me to learn to read? You're fucking comical.

You talk about idiotic Eagles fans, when you embody the moronic nature of them. Congratulations, dipshit.

You make invalid points, and therefore there really isn’t much to refute. It’s hard to state the obvious, I know. You’re such a brilliant man, talking about how the Eagles aren’t ‘head and shoulders’ above everyone else.

I guess I will respond, actually – with a resounding ‘No shit, Sherlock’. Come up with a remotely intelligent, original argument if you ever want a modicum of respect. Until then, you’ll stay filed under the ‘irrelevant and useless’ category.

As you were.

by cwel87 on Dec 22, 2009 12:15 PM EST up reply actions

I make invalid points like what? Do you even understand what I’m arguing? All I’m saying is that anyone who says one team is better than the other at this point is a tool because we won’t know til after the season which team was better, and if you disagree with that, then you’re a dolt. You’re allowed to be a fan and say your team is better, but to mock Cowboys fans for doing the same fucking thing is idiocy.

I’m an Eagles fan, by the way, and I think they are the better team and hope they win week 17 and win the Super Bowl, but I’m not crowning them the champs and I’m not going around talking smack on a team that already beat us once and just beat the Saints.

I don't give a fuck about Tony Romo

If you do, that’s fantastic. Good for you.

by cwel87 on Dec 22, 2009 9:34 AM EST up reply actions

Yes

He does make a good point though.

I mean it’s not like the Eagles have a better division record or better overall record than the Cowboys or anything.

Next thing you know this guy will start talking about how the Cowboys beat us because they were better. Didn’t have anything to do with the fact that Herremans was at left tackle, Tony Homo blew the refs before the game, and Akeem Jordan had to leave the game

Cowboys fans and their priorities

I hear all of these cowboy fans declaring this year as their " Super Bowl Year" after they beat the saints and it just makes me laugh, are any of them aware the cowgirls havent won a playoff game since 1996???? how about " Win A Playoff Game" lol

by Eag1esfan on Dec 22, 2009 1:11 PM EST reply actions

I’ll talk trash now.

Week 17: Eagles blow out the Cowboys and stomp Tony Romo and his ultragay West Hollywood fellatio for a quarter hats.

Wildcard weekend: Eagles win a squeaker in Philly where Romo plays better than week 17. But Dallas still lose, and Tony cries YET AGAIN.

And, then— as the Iron Shiek say— the humbling of the Cowboys in 2009 WILL BE COMPLETE. We’ll have broken their backs and humiliated them, and Keith Brooking who along with Miles Austin are the only Dallas players with a spine will be exposed as tough talking LOSERS. Wade will be fired and the disarray in D will continue…And I will laugh and laugh and laugh well into 2010.

by ghostofandrewatters on Dec 23, 2009 5:48 PM EST reply actions

knock on wood...

I think week 17 is going to be very very very close..

I think we actually get the #2 or #3 seed… I dont think we play the cowboys though(giants are playing strong)

And I dont think Wade gets fired yet, Jones likes the control.

Well lets see

The saints came out flat played their worse game of the season didnt make adjustments to account for Demarcus Ware and had half their team resting in that game

The Cowboys came out desperate played their best game of the season and seem to have a great game plan

But in the end the Saints still had a chance to wn

I hope we meet them in the playoffs

Dude,

I’d be worried about your team. You guys look due for an upset. That said, I hope you beat anybody but us. You need to win more, but I’m a selfish fan. Good luck.

by Soren K on Dec 24, 2009 8:15 AM EST up reply actions

not only did we beat the Saints

we also beat some team called the Eagles, we do it again in week 17 maybe You guys will have to take a trip to the Lone Star State, that is if you want to see your team inperson. Oh be afraid be really afraid.Just when you thought it was safe to go in the water.

It's so cute when they think they have a chance

They’re all flailing and trying to squirm out of their corner for the first time in thirteen years. That makes it all the more fun when it comes crashing down on top of them.

by cwel87 on Dec 25, 2009 8:07 AM EST up reply actions

cwel you keep bringing up past history of our team

and well we keep bringing up the no Superbowls in response. Its a no win situation don’t you think? lol

"When people talk about Super Bowl dynasties they mention the 1970's Steelers, 1980's 49ers, 1990's Cowboys and the current New England Patriots, but nobody has dominated the Super Bowl like Anheuser-Busch. In recent years, Budweiser has been the MVP of Super Bowl advertising -- making another company the favorite to win the Ad Meter poll was never an option."

Simon Noble

by dubious on Dec 27, 2009 11:15 PM EST up reply actions

Not really

0-for-Super Bowls is entirely different then 0-for-playoffs.

The Eagles have won two championships, dating back to 1960. That’s 49 years, or 49 chances to win. The Cowboys have not won a playoff game in thirteen years, and in each playoff, there are 11 total wins available. That’s a total of 141 chances.

It’s quite literally a no-win situation for the Cowboys. They can’t win!

by cwel87 on Dec 27, 2009 11:42 PM EST up reply actions

You are mind-blowingly stupid.

Where the hell do you get 11 wins available each year? I mean, maybe there’s 11 wins available between all the teams, but for each team, there’s either 3 or 4 games to play, at most. So, there’s at the most, if you’re an illogical idiot, 44 wins available.

But if you have half a brain, you realize you don’t play any other games if you don’t win the first game, so in actuality, they’ve had 13 chances to win a playoff game.

Not to mention that 11 × 13 is 143. You can’t even get your illogical math right.

After saying all that, the Cowboys are not 0 for playoffs. They’re 0 for playoffs (for 13 years). There’s a huge difference. You can’t say “we won a championship in 1960!” and then say the Cowboys suck for not winning a playoff game in 13 years, when you consider that they’ve won FIVE FUCKING SUPER BOWLS since 1960.

You’re one of the many fine examples of stupid Eagles fans and why I can’t stand most of our fanbase.

I am the people's troll :3™

by yomjoseki on Dec 28, 2009 12:08 AM EST up reply actions

Again, you prove you are forever the tool

The ACTUAL math is six wins. Five wins to get to the Super Bowl from the NFC side, one to win the Super Bowl. And then, take thirteen years, and multiply it by 13. 6 × 13 = 78. FOLLOWING ME? GOOD. NOW WAIT FOR IT…SUBTRACT TWO FOR THE AMOUNT OF BYES THE COWBOYS HAVE RECEIVED. THAT MAKES IT 76. THANKS FOR UNDERSTANDING THE BASIC NFL PLAYOFF SYSTEM, THOUGH. MAYBE THAT’S HOW I GOT TO 141? I was just overemphasizing the numbers to make light of the Super Bowl::Playoff comparison. With a Dallas poster who I enjoy bantering with.

A few points:

1) This is not your conversation, and now you’ve ruined it. Because you felt like stating something obvious. Again, it’s really hard to point out obvious facts.

2) You think you’re smart because you’re some scrawny little dipshit behind a computer screen. This is not at all the case. You are in fact an idiot who does not understand football, society, or the ability to keep your long-ass hook nose out of things that aren’t your own god damned business. You clearly have a grasp on none of it.

3) The rest of the world would much prefer you stayed in your place and away from big-people humor posts, lest you get a whiff of the sarcasm next time. I hate know-it-all jackasses taking credit for what is OBVIOUSLY a joke post. IS IT MORE IMPORTANT TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL IN THE LONG RUN? DURRRRR I’M NOT SURE DURRRRRRRR

4) You are what I hate about this world. Get the fuck away from my Eagles.

Hey...

who let Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones in this post and posed them as Eagles fans?

Look if you guys take the cotangent of the square root of dipsh?t and subtract it by Jerry Jone’s ego by the square root of Tono H’s fragility, well all know that it equals dallas sucks!

Now we can talk common math.

Seriously, dude, you’re a fucking dipshit.

You can’t win games you don’t participate in, moron. You can only play in 4 games in one playoff, unless you’re two teams or you live in Bizzaroworld.

I don’t know what kind of mythical land you live in where 4 = 11 but goddamnit I don’t know how you can make it through the day without choking on your own tongue.

I hate the dallas hype machine as much as anyone, but lets be honest. They are a good team, beating them in week 17 is no lock.

I would love to end their season before the playoffs but it’s gonna be tough. Luckily, even if we lose we should get a rematch in the playoffs.

Believe it or not the Cowboys beating the Saints was huge for the Eagles..

First off it took the Saints down a peg which needed to be done. They haven’t been playing well for 4-5 weeks. Secondly it helped us clinch a playoff spot and lastly they beat them in the dome. That has kind of been the fall back for the Saints this year. They were invincible in the dome. Not so much anymore. Come the playoffs I dont see alot of teams fearing the Saints.

by IgglesFanDeployd on Dec 28, 2009 8:49 PM EST reply actions

meh

if the Saints beat the Cowboys we would have clinched the division yesterday.
