One of the unsung stories of this Eagles season has been the re-emergence of kicker David Akers. For the past few seasons we've all seen him go through inconsistent patches and struggle with kicks beyond 40 yards. But this year, he's really regained his form.
Placekicker David Akers has been named the NFC's Special Teams Player of the Month for November after he connected on all 13 of his field goal attempts and 11 of 12 extra points. Akers currently leads the NFL with 101 points scored and in total field goals (24), ranks tied for first in the league with 11 field goals of 40-plus yards and is fifth in the league with a field goal percentage of 88.9 (24 of 27 field goals made).
Akers is just one FG away from his own team record 17 straight. He's also the second Eagle to win special teams player of the month, the first being Desean Jackson in September
