fight
could somebody clear up what happened in the fight.. All I can tell from looking at the highlights is that, after darren howard strips the ball, number 80 runs it back..Then when number 80 is tackled.. eagle number 81 shoves number 66 a giant lineman.By the way according to nfl.com number 81 is jason avant.. I'm pretty sure that's not him. Then number 66 punches number 81 in the back while he celebrates. then it looks like number 50 witherspoon escorts number 66 away.. then the camera cuts away to a diferent angle but it looks like number 50 gets in a shoving match with giant lineman 69..hten it cuts to another shot with trent punching someone in the head... not sure at all whats going on.. I heard cliams like someone ripped trents helmet off.. but I didn't see why he was provoked..... could someone explain.. thanks!...
* on a side note.. if you have dvr or whatever.. It looked like on mcnabbs, fumble, pass It really lookedlike the official waved incomplete...

Did you seriously just make 3 small fanposts on 3 minor topics in 2 hours?
That’s not how we do things over here buddy. Combine your thoughts and put it in one fan post.
Andy Reid is 43-5 when running the ball at least 30 times in a game( Ray Diddy on Eagles Post Game Live after Bears Victory)
as an eagles fan...
ill just fill in those numbers for you.
number 80 is kevin curtis, who was inactive for this game. I personally was amazed when he ran onto the field to take the fumble and run it back. What a dick move by a giants player to tackle number 80 because he has no pads on since he was inactive.
number 81 is avant. a offensive wide receiver. i wonder why he was on a defensive play. Yeah, i think your right, it cant be him
number 50 is witherspoon. good call!
"Why do you step onto the field...? I don't believe in pressure. I don't believe in what may be said on the outside. Why do I step out onto the field? To Prove That I Am The Best!"

LOL
I was thinking of saying the same thing…glad you beat me to it
"What did it feel like? That collision, I didn't feel nothing, because he was pretty much defenseless. It was like running through a cardboard box. Seriously. Cardboard box."- Sheldon Brown on his pounding of Reggie Bush in the '06 Playoffs
umm here is what I think happened...
one of the lineman punched/pushed spoon in the back, spoon proceded to get in his face and let him know he wasnt happy(like a badass) and then a few players come in, I think one of them grabs spoons facemask… One Cole sees this he’s not very happy so he gives O’hara a concussion…
No but really I think Cole came to the aide of witherspoon.
thats Cobb on Kolb crime if you ask me... as said by yophillybro
actually it looked like he popped spoon and cole..
either way O’hara started it and cole won.

From what I saw.....
I think it was Diehl or O’Hara…but they were coming up behind an Eagles player ready to swing their hand like a club. Before that even happend, I think someone made did something to Eli, so the O-L was pissed and protecting his QB.
Everything else happend the way you saw it, O’Hara messed with Witherspoon’s helmet, Cole started punching O’Hara.
IT was an ugly incident.
Was it a bit of a ‘sore loser’? Probably a bit of that, but also it was instigated by an Eagle player doing something to Eli.
The Giants players are not ones to do this sort of thing, and either are the Eagles players. I hope it never happens again cuz this sort of thing has no place in the game. Leave it for the whistles.

I rewound it a few times...
Nobody hit Eli. After Joselio Hanson was tackled on the fumble return, David Diehl was hanging around the pile, and Chris Clemons gave him one last shove before heading to the sidelines to celebrate. Diehl, likely pissed about the loss and not happy with a player on the opposing team fitting in one last push followed by celebrating, comes up from behind Clemons and clubs him in the back with his forearm.
And it went from there.
bro, the hit on Eli was legal, it was after the turnover and before the whistle...
no way anything that was done to eli on that play was illegal

I wasn't thinking the hit during the play...
I was thinking that he was pushed after the play.
He wasn’t.
Clemons pushed Diehl after the play, after which Diehl got his tits in a knot..like Dawk said…and everything thereafter happened.

This it what thought i saw
1) Eagles Recover fumble to secure win against the Giants, putting them in first place in the NFC East.
2)Clemons shoves 66 (Diehl)
3 )Diehl punches Clemons in the back
4) Spoon (#50) sees the punch and pushes Diehl away
5) Ohara pushes Clemons
6)Total Cluster fuck involving Will spoooon, Clemons, Trent Cole, Ohara, Suebert breaks out
7) More Eagles and Giants (Sore Losers) join the scuffle
8) Trent Cole Two pieces the shit out of Ohara (Shakes Head… That was Stupid)
9) Refs Finally do their job and break it up

by far the worst officiating ever...
they let so much go and penalized us for touching #88 on a play where he wouldnt have made the catch anyway.

Yea no
Hanson # 21 recovered the Fumble..and as he goes down Clemons # 91 give a push to # 66 of the Giants then the whistle blows and as Clemons is WALKING AWAY, # 66 shoves Clemons in the back. Then Spoon comes in and Sueb. and the fistacuffs being!
I am NOT excusing what was done….but the REF was literally standing right there. He should’ve saw how this all started.
A. Clemons push was “In Game play” and starts walking away after the whistle blows.
B. # 66 pushes him in the back (out of frustration) and it was right AFTER the whistle.
C. The REF was standing right there and should’ve done his job right then and there
D. Spoon comes to the aid of his teammate after witnessing the “Cheap Shot” to Clemons’s back! Spoon should’ve used his Head and just gave # 66 an ear full. Already won the game so u have the right to “Talk Trash”. Why push!

diehl cheap shoted chris clemons, that was the start of the fight. he was being a sore loser and punched him right in the back
Diehl was pushed in the back by Clemons at the end of the play and
these guys wear their emtions on their sleeves and sometimes it only takes a little to enrage them. Clemons did the first thing and Diehl retaliated. The only thing that baffles me is I still don’t understand Cole punching a helmet? Just seems irrelevant to hit protective gear with a fist.

Again..Not excusing their actions
But The Clemons push was “In Play” towards the end of the plays as u said. Right after that..the whistle blew..which means the “Play is over”, as Clemons walks over towards the bench to celebrate then Diehl pushes him in the back. Clemons did push the guy..though it was “IN PLAY” thats all that matters. Diehl retaliated after the whistle!! Did Clemons need push that guy, NOPE..but FAR WORSE things happen at the bottom of fumble scrum-pile!!

real we are on the same page
thats why I stated at the end of the play. The whistle blew right after the first push. When guys have emotion and love to win , then it only takes something that small when they are upset. 98% of the time guys like Diehl would walk away, but this was just one of those times where he just snapped. It happens from time to time.
