Let's Roll

Cowboys lost (to be fair, I think they’ll beat the Saints next week).

Now let’s put the Giants out of their misery.

Look

The Saints almost lost to the Falcons. They’re due for a loss. The Cowboys have a O that might keep up, and their D might be able to stop Brees.

There is a reason only 2 teams when undefeated in the regular season in 80+ years of NFL play.

Nearly my exact thoughts

The Eagles have an opportunity to make it easy on themselves. These are the times they usually let us down.

Yet I watch with great hope, as usual.

How 'bout them Redskins...

getting hot late in the season. Almost knock of ‘aints last week and whoop up the Raiders (okay it’s the Raiders) tonight. Could they eff up the Cowgirls and Gints in coming weeks?

Dallas December...

@ Giants – LOSS

Chargers – LOSS

@ New Orleans – Best team in the league (well, maybe that’s the Colts). Anyway, they still need the game to wrap up home field.

@ Washington – Blowing out Oakland right now, and they haven’t quit by any means. Only lost to Dallas because of their kicker, lost to us in a game they controlled over the Eagles, and only lost to the Saints because of their kicker again. I’d want no part of this team.

Philly – We’re pretty good too.

I think they go 1-4, with a realistic shot at 0-5

Of course

I need 29 points to win in my big money fantasy league. I have Eli and Tynes (of course I would) and a choice of McCoy and Weaver at RB.

Would anyone else go McCoy instead of Weaver?

Still waiting for the Eagles to Bring It Home For Jerome

by D3Keith on Dec 13, 2009 7:38 PM EST up reply actions

No brainer...

McCoy. I love the Weave, but Andy and Marty don’t use him enough. He started getting the ball tis year against the Giants, and since that game, here are the numkber of carries he has had…

Giants – 8
Cowboys – 8
Chargers – 2
Bears – 3
Redskins – 6
Falcons – 5

Weaver and a kicker is not going to get you 29 points. You have to go with McCoy.

Go Eagles!

With the Dallas December traditional meltdown in full swing this game is for all the marbles in the NFC East. I can’t wait. I’m watching the game in the FL Keys with a bunch of Eagles fans.

Wade Phillips on TV right now fumbling for explanations. On screen graphic: Cowboys have lost 7 of their last 9 December games.

No surprises there

Dixon usually plays against running teams, but I wonder if Laws has totally played himself out of the 3rd DT spot.

by D3Keith on Dec 13, 2009 7:42 PM EST up reply actions

yea idk yet...but its gettin close to that point!! Dixon has been used wayyy more now

I mean…they knew he was undersized. But they liked his High Motor! Reid said that Laws reminded him of Mike Patterson! They birds love those undersized d linemen! And they wonder why they have a hard time getting pressure with only there front four! But im not callin him a bust yet. Who knows…Trent Cole became something great and M.Patterson is doin a good job! But we NEED more Size mixed with speed on our Dline

I mean..why travel. It’s not a smokescreen…the guy is hurt. Period! He aint near full strength and is not in FB shape!!! Waste. At Norwood could’ve helped us in the chance that Maclin aggravates his foot injury! Im not sayin Norwood is “important” but at least he can help us NOW!

Yeah definitely. I think they will have to move coverage more towards his side and limit the one on one’s with him. Eli Manning, though we crack on him, is a lot better than redman and i think is more accurate that Jay Cutler. We can’t rely on those types of breaks.

These refs suck ass

seriously – how much can you screw up in favor of another team and not start to look biased

This is gettin very obvious!!!

Refs = fired!

Normally I don't complain about the refs jobbing one team but . . .

The Eagles were on the end of a couple of crappy calls/non-calls that half.

I count 3

non call on offisdes when giants have 2 and goal at the two, non call when celek was draped while trying to catch a TD pass and that stupid end of half call

by eagleyosh on Dec 13, 2009 10:08 PM EST up reply actions   1 recs

How is that not reviewable?!?!?!?!?

Are you effing serious?!?!?!?!? That’s like the 5th ridiculously shitty call that’s gone their way already. Freaking ridiculous!

by JimmyK on Dec 13, 2009 10:06 PM EST reply actions   1 recs

does the home team supply the time keeper, or is that an official NFL job?

by quakerfan on Dec 13, 2009 10:06 PM EST reply actions   1 recs

Not on the time keeper

that was on the refs not blowing the whistle…

by Nazgul35 on Dec 13, 2009 10:07 PM EST up reply actions

the whistle is somehow magically connected to the clock?

by quakerfan on Dec 13, 2009 10:08 PM EST up reply actions

Red/Blue colorblindness

afflicts the refs in Giants Stadium….again

by jerseygrl on Dec 13, 2009 10:06 PM EST reply actions

These Refs

better not be in the playoff games or we are screwed!

by EaglesFanatic80 on Dec 13, 2009 10:07 PM EST reply actions   1 recs

Giants fan here

i’ll agree you’re getting shatted by the refs if you agree there have been a lot of noncalls against you guys too.

The refs are being consistent…
consistently crappy

Never assume skill at bouncing a ball makes you smarter than the guy who built the court.

I did notice an un-called PI from Asante, yeah

But I think we’re getting the worse of it so far. Would you not agree?

by sadistikk on Dec 13, 2009 10:08 PM EST up reply actions

definitely

but we’ve both been shatted
I don’t want to make this a who has the refs shitted on more, but that vick run was pretty bad.

Lets agree the refs suck.

Besides the fumble return

That was the worst the Eagles’ D has looked all season in a half except the Saints game. Got pushed around all half and the Giants moved the ball up and down the field at will. If the Giants’ receivers didn’t have a few drops, this game would be even closer.

by MG77 on Dec 13, 2009 10:08 PM EST reply actions

Hypothetically

if someone fumbled & was down with 3 seconds left in the 4th quarter when down by 3 or less, with a chance to win the game on a fg, they wouldn’t be able to review it. if they don’t change that rule, eventually someone’s going to shit bricks

Most likely when it affects the Patriots or the Colts, I’d guess.

by sadistikk on Dec 13, 2009 10:10 PM EST up reply actions

Not the Colts. They only get marginal respect. But yeah, big market teams like Dallas, or NE, of EITHER NY team. Yes, the league would forget the rule and review the play, then apologize later.

prob colts

tom brady would get 3 seconds no questions asked

he’d send the refs home & bench them for the next game

Wow the defense needs to step up

We’ve forced one punt. If not for that fumble recovery we’d be tied

Our D-line is getting manhandled.

The Eagles are the first team in NFL history to have a running back and a wide receiver with 500 yards apiece in the same season before their 22nd birthdays.
