Romo, Will You Hold My Balls?

"Romo has enough to worry about in the next four games. (See: December record.) Now he's supposed to revisit the lowest moment of his career? Why, exactly? Was there really nobody else to do the job?" http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Despite-infamous-botch-Tony-Romo-volunteers-for?urn=nfl,208213

Ok all...tell me you're not just salivating over the possibilities here.  I decided to quote my favorite part of this article.  Can we all post some encouraging advice to help Tony mentally cope with this enormous challenge?

to be honest I think it makes no difference.

Folk is a good kicked but I guarantee you alot of the misses are on him. Its not easy being a holder period but I think Romo will be fine as much I hate to say it. I think the only way it’ll effect Folk or Romo is the timing. When you have guys like Antonio Dixon and Joes Mays coming at you and you have to focus, while still getting use to each other as holder and kicker I’m sure its harder.

my thoughts

i think they are going to run more fakes now. i think they are saying the old holder sucks so they can trick us into thinking they won’t do tons of fake fg’s. its december, cowboys need all the gimmicks they can get.

Didn't TO

accuse Romo of holding Witten’s balls last year? Why don’t they just call former DB Dexter Clinkscale? He was pretty good at holding balls back in the day.

As much as everyone in the developed world knows about it, Romo’s gaffe is probably a freak thing never to be repeated, at least in such game-changing circumstances.

Still…he’s having a good year but has a reputation for struggling in December. Why give him one more thing to think about?

Why not have Kitna hold? It’s probably meaningless, but still seems a dumb move by Phillips.

I do like having a QB hold vs. punter, in general, since it gives the chance of a trick play, I just probably wouldn’t put this back on Romo’s shoulders if I were Wade.
