The NFL has fined Demps $12,500 for his two personal fouls, a roughing the passer penalty for a high hit on Falcons quarterback Chris Redman and a late hit on Falcons receiver Roddy White.

Hopefully he can get away from these stupid penalties they can really hurt the team and his wallet.

Remember the NFC chip Game the Personal Foul on Warner………It didn’t Matter in ATL but I hope This fine Teaches him a lesson because if he does this foolishness again something is going to have to be done……..

Thing is...he isnt a Dirty Player

He just doesn’t use his smarts! Im not defending him by any means. That said..the call on Roddy White was sooo ridiculous! Very weak call. And the one on Redman, was just plan ticky tacky. We all heard the commentators say “I don’t know about that call. He did NOT lead with his helmet. And it also was NOT a helmet to helmet hit!!” The penalty was for a “High Hit” on the QB. High Hits usually mean leading with or helmet to helmet! Maybe the refs threw it cuz Demps came down with his arm onto the QB’s head?? U clearly saw Demps with his hands up goin for the Block or pass deflect then as the ball releases from Redmans hand Demps swats DOWN! Funny thing is though..If they didn’t call these ticky tacky/ weak calls then we wouldn’t even be talkn about Demps right now! Again Im not defending Demps. I just think that they were very weak calls that COULD"VE been easily been no calls!
After all…a player CAN hit a QB late, in the endzone, after the TD signal has been put up and get away with it scott free and with no fine!!! Oh but when Demps swings HIS ARM DOWN on a QB he gets flagged and FINED! Thanks Mr. Goodell for proving my point. U sir, are a phony!!!

Demps just needs to use his smarts..that's all! Play hard and SMART!

Both calls were bad

Neither should have been called, much less fined. Especially after a star QB can be hit in the end zone and break ribs without being fined. That still pisses me off.

Who comes up with the amount of the fine???

I think that Goodell has a wheel in his office like the one from Mad Max: Thunderdome.

“BREAK A DEAL – FACE THE WHEEL!”

I bet he even has Master Blaster in there too…

Even the flags were weak, I can’t believe they actually fined them.

Is it just me, or is anyone else getting sick of Quintin Demps? I’m thinking we draft a new FS next year.

I feel like he has an attitude problem

After his preseason quotes and the penalties I feel like he just doesn’t get it.

I liked him more last year.

When he was ‘up-and-coming" and it looked like he was trying to prove his aggressiveness. Then he was ’showing promise’. Now it’ getting kinda old.

In fairness...

The hit on the QB wasn’t dirty, although that kind of hit will draw a flag 95% of the time.

The second penalty was a joke.

The Eagles are loaded with young talent, and guys like Jackson, Maclin, Celek, Macho, Jordan, and McCoy have shown maturity in their young age. So far, Demps hasn’t. But he’s 24. When I was 24, I was an idiot, too. He’s a talented player, and this season has to have taken its toll on Demps’ ego. Let’s hope the light cones on soon.

That hit on the QB I know is called alot now but

ticky tack to say the least. There shouldn’t have been a fine for that at all. Goodell and the National Flag League!!!!

"When people talk about Super Bowl dynasties they mention the 1970's Steelers, 1980's 49ers, 1990's Cowboys and the current New England Patriots, but nobody has dominated the Super Bowl like Anheuser-Busch. In recent years, Budweiser has been the MVP of Super Bowl advertising -- making another company the favorite to win the Ad Meter poll was never an option."

Geez, when a Cowboys fan say a flag on an Eagles player is ticky tacky, you know it was a stupid call…

Well...

Late hitting a quarterback is less than a sombrero and a pancho on the sidelines, apparently.

Haha seriously though..

Once again Goodell and the “Higher Ups” keep showing their inconsistency. I don’t care if they’re just raising OchoCincos fines just to try and hinder him form celebrating and HAVING fun! If u value “A Pancho and Sombrero” over “The Safety of an NFL Player” than u have no common sense and ur priorities of outta wack! I’ll remind us again and again..Late hit on Dmac had no punishments handed out! WHY! But if u wear a Pancho and Sombrero…look out!!
