what crap!!!
the writer of the article is a fool… a dismal hack… just beacuse some talking heads on tv are suggesting reid and mcnabb as hall of fame candidates dosen’t change the fact that mcnabb can’t make good decisions under pressure and is terribly inconsistent… and that reid can’t manage the clock worth a damn… does anyone think for a second bill belichek would field a qb like mcnabb or screw up games like reid???? the whole point is eagles fan’s for the most part aren’t fooled by stats that don’t add up to big game wins!!! back to the tv commnetators who this bonehead thinks are so freakin smart… they are paid to spout bull****… not say anything critical… it’s called sponsorship… i worked for nertwork tv and i know exactly what i’m talking about… no controversy allowed…. period… get rid of mcnabb… give reid one more chance!!!

Cowboys fan chimes in...
Iggles fans aren’t ignorant… they are frustrated at seeing a good team continually fall short. No one can argue that McNabb and Reid aren’t a top-five combo… Iggles fans are sick of them never being the number 1 combo. As good as the Eagles are, they always seem to find frustrating ways to squander plays, quarters, games, and seasons.
Simple stuff that has nothing to do with talent, like clock management, seems to ellude Reid. Furthermore, even though many of the failings are completely avoidable, Reid never seems to fix them. McNabb frustrates fans by being almost unstoppable one week and unable to hit an open receiver the next.
So it isn’t a case of ignorance… it’s a case of frustration and familiarity. The familiarity breeds contempt. So when fans see a familiar failure, the contempt level only rises. As it rises, it gets voiced more often and more radically. Again, that’s not ignorance, that’s human nature. Someday you’ll get your wish, and Reid and McNabb will be out. Then you’ll find out if another truism applies… you don’t know what you have ‘til it’s gone.
Hey Bob
Hey Bob,
How about Sterling Sharp “calling out” Reid this week for not using Leonard Weaver on 3rd and short. Can I criticize Reid now that a national commentator who has played the sport has agreed with me? I find your grouping all fans into a pool of ignorance is disrespectful, dude. And to say that those who have not played should listen to those who do….I’d listen to Ray Dittinger any day over anybody and he has made legitimate criticism of Reid and McNabb. Over-the-top generalizations don’t work.
STOP CRYING
everyone in philly needs to stop crying. what the hell are you bitching about? we won the game. it wasn’t pretty but we won the game. the fact you’re bitching about winning the game shows why the rest of the country treats us as the laughingstock of nfl fans. because you’re all dumbasses who whine and cry about the eagles because your life is so miserable.
mcnabb played well yesterday in bringing us from behind. he had a few misfires but he was able to bounce back from many false starts and penalties that had look at 3rd and longs and he converted them.
