ESPN: Brian Westbrook likely out tonight
Despite the fact that Andy Reid has insisted all week that Brian Westbrook would play this weekend, ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that the RB is out against the Cowboys.
In an NFC East divisional showdown between Philadelphia and Dallas, Eagles running back Brian Westbrook is not expected to play, according to two league sources.
An Eagles official Sunday morning was non-committal.
Obviously we'd like to have Westbrook back, but it's not as if the Eagles have relied on him this year. Of all the big plays and highlights the Eagles offense has generated this year, Westbrook hasn't really been a part of any. Still, it would be nice to have #36 back there in a big game.

Lol
Just fanshot’d this. Pretty surprising considering Reid’s been optimistic with Westy’s return. Ugh, oh well. I would’ve LOVED to see him play tonight.
man this is dissapointing
its not as if i felt that his return would solidify a win, but it makes me feel uneasy to see him on the bench and not on the field
Weapon X eats babies for breakfast.
is reid just doing this
to mess up the opposing defensive coordinator’s game plan?
RIP Jim Johnson. You will truly be missed.

He has been acting like westbrook was going to play 2 weeks in a row
Its just how Andy does things. As much as we all want westbrook, we need him later in the season and we’re doing ok without him right now.
Why couldn’t B-Brook have dressed as if he was going to play and then never hit the field? That would keep the Cowgirls guessing and confused them crazy.

with gocong and abiamiri
and patterson and others not playing, and vick taking up his usual spot, we need all the space we can get
If he plays, he plays
I’d personally love to see him back out there (as would all Eagles supporters), but it is what it is.
The most important thing is for Brian to get better. The team comes after.
