And maybe even more disturbingly for Dallas fans, he refers to teammate Miles Austin as "Number 2," instead of by name. This is an unnecessary distraction for a 5-2 team heading into an extremely important division game. Stay tuned...

Get over it

It is a non-story, simply ESPN perpetuated crap.

The Knights season may have just ended, but the Cowboys year is just begining!

ESPN didn’t force Roy to make those comments.

Though they did take his quotes out of context

and make a story where there didnt need to be one.

What are his raw, unedited, un-paraphrased comments?

His comment about being the No. 1

receiver is stating a fact by the position that he plays and what Austin plays, the X or Y receiver. The comments about getting the ball sounded to me like they weren’t on the same page, not Romo was throwing off target.

But Ed Werder and ESPN will try to make as big a story as possible out of it, and that’s cool, it is what it is.

Come on now...

That’s some Grade A spin control.

Take it how you want

all you are looking at is the way the media spun it

I'll let you believe your spin...

That’s fine. No worries. In fact, for a few minutes, I’ll pretend that I also agree that Ed Werder is on a mission to create stories in Dallas when there aren’t any. OK, hang on (fooling myself)… OK, done. I’m on board.

Now…

Even if we agree there’s no story here, it doesn’t change the following…

- Roy Williams right now is abysmal. For Roy Williams’ sake, thank God he had a decent Week 1 against the defensively challenged Buccaneers, when he had 3 catches for 86 yards, and a TD, because in the 5 games since then, he has caught 11 passes for 163 yards, and 1 TD. That’s embarrassing.

- “Non-story” or not, it’s a full-blown distraction now. I saw it on SportsCenter yesterday and today, they featured it on NFL Network for about 10 minutes last night (which is an eternity), etc etc. Go to any sports website anywhere, somebody will be putting their 2 cents in on this. Now you’ll have people with microphones in front of Tony Romo, Roy Williams, Miles Austin, Jason Garrett, and whoever else from now until whenever Roy Williams finally has a good game. Will it be in Romo’s mind that he has to get the ball to Williams now more than he would? Maybe. Maybe not. I’m leaning toward yes. And yeah, I realize Roy Williams has said that the number of balls coming his way isn’t the problem. Doesn’t matter – he’s now the squeaky wheel. Romo might stupidly look to get him more oil.

what they’re known for. Thats the price that Americas team pays

RIP Jim Johnson. You will truly be missed.

Unfortunately for Roy

He isn’t and never produced, unlike Owens. T.O. actually did something in Dallas, and had justification(in his mind) for his argument. Roy E has done nothing but been disappointing since coming to Dallas. When Romo is connecting with EVERY other receiver but Roy, and Roy just seems to be running the wrong routes, who do you think is to blame.

Ugh, every day I wish Jerry just would have grabbed Ochocinco, Boldin, Edwards(yes, Edwards), hell, Housh even rather than Roy E. But Jerry had to sell tickets…ugh…

the difference between RW and TO

NOBODY in Cowboy land is defending RW.

We don’t need him to win. If he keeps running his mouth without producing, he’s going to get cut next year because I think it will be uncapped.

I hope Westbrook is healthy because I don’t want any excuses when we beat you at home.

Hope you come back when we reprise 44-6 so you can take your medicine. Something makes me think you’re only coming back if the Cowgirls win, though.

Westbrook...

The days of our offense relying on him are over…

I hope he plays..but it’s not necessary to beat you guys.

And based on the contract and the amount of draft picks you guys gave up to get him i doubt he gets cut next year unless his contract expires at the end of the season…which would make Jerry that much dumber if so…

Can we stop trash talking.

It only makes it worse if we lose. I hate that feeling

Yeah, I know the feeling. I remember right before we played the Cards in the NFCCG, someone posted a picture with a Eagle and a Card and it said “Bring it bitches”. I bet that person felt pretty dumb after that game.

"I hate listening to people's dreams. It is like flipping through a stack of photographs. If I'm not in any of them and nobody is having sex, I just don't care. "
