Sheldon Brown wins the call-back of the year award

Photo

After yesterday's game, Sheldon Brown was asked about the tough performance of WR Jason Avant. Sheldon chose his words wisely...

"He’s a fearless guy," cornerback Sheldon Brown said. "You’re born with that. A lot of guys go, ‘For who? For what?’ He’s a guy, he puts it out there for us."

No way the always astute Sheldon used those words as an accident. "For who? For what?" is undoubtedly one of the most famous quotes in Philly sports history. Bravo Sheldon.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, read up on it here.

That’s awesome, I still liked Ricky despite his statement he still put up nice numbers while in Philly.

I was DIIIIIRTY with him on the 49ers in Madden 94 … no one could handle the sweep play.

sheldon brown

he still might be my 2nd favorite eagle in the reid era (dawkins). he doesn’t miss starts, can hit with authority, and always has great lines like the one above.

the only prob i have with sheldon is that he didn’t refer to avant as “tacopants”.

My relationship with Sheldon hit a bump in the road this past off season but he has more than made up for it.

Yeah

I think he should get paid. He’s shown he’s the type of player they can make exceptions for. Tough, reliable, playmaker.

I mean he’s making over 3 million this year so I don’t really feel bad for the guy.

Yea he spoke up but atleast he can back it up. I see us locking him up or giving him a raise even though i coulda flipped off the deep end because of his horrible timeing this off-season

I don’t think you understood that quote buddy. He was praising Avant not bad mouthing him.

he was making a joke about the sexual connotation of the quote if taken out of context.
