Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Awwww Rats!

Celek, Jackson and Bunkley all injured today.  You guys know me as the eternal optimist on this site, but for crying out loud,  if they aren't playing next week, I'm suiting up. That's right, I'm coming out of retirement.  Last game I played was as 'left out-back' in my pee-wee football league back when the Eagles were playing at Franklin Field, but don't worry guys, I'm ready to grab my leather helmet and go in.  Now if only I can find my green and white walker. I wonder if I can find a jock in the size "extra droopy'.

Fark 'em.  We're winning anyway. (If we can find enough healthy guys to field a team.)

hopefully trevor laws can step up.

darren howard is a pretty decent interior lineman when he plays there as well.

If anyone it’ll be Dixon who replaces Bunkley. Laws has been pretty much a nonfactor this year and I’m liking what I’ve seen out of Dixon so far. I think he has a huge amount of potential.

agreed. I’m pretty high on Dixon

Funny. When Dixon was signed

many people were upset that he was the guy the Eagles picked to replace a roster spot that previously belonged to A.J. Feeley. But he’s been a consistent and quality backup on the line.

Yeah

Pretty crazy. So, Celek has torn ligaments in his hand, but X-rays were negative. And Jackson had a mild concussion.

And, I believe Bunkley twisted his ankle. Anyone how bad?

Other bad injuries...

It looks like Eli Manning won’t be playing against the ’girls this weekend, and I was REALLY hoping the GMen got their swag back to take out Dallas

David Carr

Behind that offensive line… hell, he might be better than Manning! I mean seriously, the guy might have had a chance to be a good QB if he wasn’t stuck on the Texans for all those years. Maybe “David Carr” syndrome is curable!

About 10 minutes ago, I was pondering my own existence. Then I decided that it didn't matter.

Really???????

i havent heard anything official yet about Eli not playing. Like him or not and beleive me i hate the guy u still hav 2 admit hes a gamer and i bet he will be on the field for the cowgirl game. On the bright side of things the Falcons are pretty banged up as well and Ryan is officially out. Anyone kno the status of Michael Turner?? Its not good to take teams for granted but CMON, Chris Redman?? PLEASE, we should mop the Falcons up regardless of our injuries.

they have tony gonzalez

I think even Chris Redman can watch the film and figure out that he should just throw to Gonzalez every play. We are seemingly incapable of covering a TE.

TRUE TRUE..............

But on the bright side Akeem has been practicing this week so theres a great chance hell play. I think that would be a good matchup of him and Gonzalez. Alls i got 2 say however is if the Falcons sumhow figure out how to get Gonzalez matched up with Gocong there is gonna be a huge play. Which i actually wouldnt mind as long as were winning………………..FANTASY POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEED GONZO 2 HAVE A HUGE DAY!!!!!!!!! OF COURSE IF IT COMES DOWN 2 GONZO HAVIN A GREAT DAY OR THE BIRDS WINNING I DEFINITELY PICK THE BIRDS WINNING. Even if theres 5000 on the line for me.
