Hey guys...
I’m fixing my fantasy lineup for my $200 league. Thankfully, I’m in a comfortable first place.
Right now I locked in Reggie Wayne at WR, and Frank Gore at WR. I have 1 more WR slots, 1 RB slot, and 1 Flex. To fill those slots I have Desean Jackson, Mike Sims-Walker, Ray Rice and Thomas Jones. It’s a PPR league, so I’m pretty set on putting in Ray Rice. Soooo
Sims-Walker, Jackson, T.Jones. I need 2 out of the three. Who would you put in?
"They say that nobody is perfect. Then they tell you practice makes perfect. I wish they'd make up their minds." - Wilt Chamberlain
Yeah that is what I have right now. I want to put Thomas Jones in because I think his game will be more grind-it-out. It is a coin flip between Jackson and Sims-Walker.
"They say that nobody is perfect. Then they tell you practice makes perfect. I wish they'd make up their minds." - Wilt Chamberlain
no hall and Carlos Rogers is slooooooow Jackson all the way

"The 0-2 pitch, swing and a miss! STRUCK HIM OUT! The Philadelphia Phillies are 2008 World Champions of baseball! And let the city celebrate! " - Harry Kalas 1936-2009
Definitely Thomas Jones. Sims-Walker and and DJax can both be kind of hit or miss, but Jackson is more likely to have a big game. Jones and Jackson.

Ray Rice is the safest bet. He’ll get a lock of checkdowns today.
by andyreidswaistline on Nov 29, 2009 12:35 PM EST up reply actions
I misread – the play is WR: Sims-Walker RB: Thomas Jones, Flex: Ray Rice
by andyreidswaistline on Nov 29, 2009 12:38 PM EST up reply actions
so Sims-walker > D.Jackson ?
"They say that nobody is perfect. Then they tell you practice makes perfect. I wish they'd make up their minds." - Wilt Chamberlain
They’re close – I think Sims-Walker is the more reliable play but Jackson’s upside is much bigger. Win/win situation with today’s matchup.

I hear ya.
I’m gonna roll Jackson and hope he will repeat what he did to Washington last time.

That's what happens when you refuse to run.
"Right now Winston Justice is the guy...until that person gets back out there"
Oh I'm sorry Jason.
It has nothing at all to do with the fact that we didn’t run on 2 consecutive downs after successfully running the ball down the field. You’re right. How astute!
"Right now Winston Justice is the guy...until that person gets back out there"
It doesn't
Sarcasm doesn’t change that. The outcome of that play had nothing to do with running or not running. It’s pretty silly to think otherwise.
And seriously… Because a team doesn’t run on two consecutive plays is not reason for you to have a temper tantrum.
yea seriously? it was a great call and it would hve been a td if celek hadn't done that little push

Considering USC is in the PAC 10, and they’ve put how many defensive starters in the NFL in the past 5 years—and Gerhart ran on them—not sure that argument holds water. After all, Sanachez never faced his own D in serious efforts.

Actually, the Eagles have been very good this year at 3rd and short. The only games they struggled were against Dallas and San Diego. If you go look at the stats overall this year, they’ve actually been strong there.
By running or passing? They almost failed that 4th and 1 with vick too :)

There is no almost failing on short yardage. you get it or you don’t. They didn’t get it on 3rd and one, they did get it on fourth.

Run the ball – haynesworth isn’t there and there are big freaking holes that i could gain 15 yards through

You understand the concept of general comment vs specific play – they are dominating the redskins line yet not running enough, in general, if you run instead of trying the fancy dancy crap you’ll win…trick plays are fun but when they fail you end up with first and 20
by jemagee on Nov 29, 2009 2:00 PM EST up reply actions
Actually it was first and 25 – i was talking in general – i’ll tell you again – and i’ll resist the infantile juvenile name calling

There’s a valid point – and here I thought the biggest idiots in Philadelphia right now were those who thought bringing Iverson back was a good idea
by jemagee on Nov 29, 2009 2:05 PM EST up reply actions
They were averaging 11 yards per carry on the first drive – 11 yards
by jemagee on Nov 29, 2009 1:59 PM EST up reply actions
Doesn’t mean they weren’t either, but I swee your point, you should just give up on the running game that’s been dominating the redskins AND gives the defense more rest than a 3 & out
by jemagee on Nov 29, 2009 2:02 PM EST up reply actions
let’s see – if you average 11 yards per carry and it’s first and 25 – how many downs would you need to get a first down if you continued with that average.
I know that’s advanced math, but I get you can do it
by jemagee on Nov 29, 2009 2:04 PM EST up reply actions
YES
They’ve been running it well, they could get some yardage.

1. He’ll bring in fans (not if they lsoe he won’t)

How come certain players jump up and down and dance when they make a TD. From the days of Billy “Whiteshoes” Johnson, some players shuck and jive like they are at a minstral show and others dont. Is it an ethnic thing.
