Hey guys...

I’m fixing my fantasy lineup for my $200 league. Thankfully, I’m in a comfortable first place.

Right now I locked in Reggie Wayne at WR, and Frank Gore at WR. I have 1 more WR slots, 1 RB slot, and 1 Flex. To fill those slots I have Desean Jackson, Mike Sims-Walker, Ray Rice and Thomas Jones. It’s a PPR league, so I’m pretty set on putting in Ray Rice. Soooo

Sims-Walker, Jackson, T.Jones. I need 2 out of the three. Who would you put in?

Yeah that is what I have right now. I want to put Thomas Jones in because I think his game will be more grind-it-out. It is a coin flip between Jackson and Sims-Walker.

Time to win over a $1500.

Definitely Thomas Jones. Sims-Walker and and DJax can both be kind of hit or miss, but Jackson is more likely to have a big game. Jones and Jackson.

It’s a PPR league, so I’m inclined to think Sims-Walker will get more receptions but I think Jackson will have a better chance of scoring a TD today.

Ray Rice is the safest bet. He’ll get a lock of checkdowns today.

by andyreidswaistline on Nov 29, 2009 12:35 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah he is pretty defense irrelevant. Those receptions rack up and even on a bad day he gets like 15 points.

by soman319 on Nov 29, 2009 12:37 PM EST up reply actions

I misread – the play is WR: Sims-Walker RB: Thomas Jones, Flex: Ray Rice

by andyreidswaistline on Nov 29, 2009 12:38 PM EST up reply actions

so Sims-walker > D.Jackson ?

They’re close – I think Sims-Walker is the more reliable play but Jackson’s upside is much bigger. Win/win situation with today’s matchup.

I hear ya.

I’m gonna roll Jackson and hope he will repeat what he did to Washington last time.

It’s so lazy to blame everything on that.

by JasonB on Nov 29, 2009 1:18 PM EST up reply actions

Oh I'm sorry Jason.

It has nothing at all to do with the fact that we didn’t run on 2 consecutive downs after successfully running the ball down the field. You’re right. How astute!

by EvilBanner on Nov 29, 2009 1:19 PM EST up reply actions

It doesn't

Sarcasm doesn’t change that. The outcome of that play had nothing to do with running or not running. It’s pretty silly to think otherwise.

And seriously… Because a team doesn’t run on two consecutive plays is not reason for you to have a temper tantrum.

by jemagee on Nov 29, 2009 1:55 PM EST reply actions

Actually, the Eagles have been very good this year at 3rd and short. The only games they struggled were against Dallas and San Diego. If you go look at the stats overall this year, they’ve actually been strong there.

There is no almost failing on short yardage. you get it or you don’t. They didn’t get it on 3rd and one, they did get it on fourth.

How come certain players jump up and down and dance when they make a TD. From the days of Billy “Whiteshoes” Johnson, some players shuck and jive like they are at a minstral show and others dont. Is it an ethnic thing.
