How Many More Wins?

Are the next two games against the lowly Redskins and the struggling Falcons must win? I think they are. The schedule for the rest of the season is

The Redskins, Falcons and 49ers look to be easy games, but the Giants, Broncos, and Cowboys are going to be tough. If we win the three easy games we'll finish the season 9-7. We need to win the easy games and win at least one of the tougher games in my opinion.  I think 10-6 might be good enough to win the division if you look at the Cowboys schedule: Really their only easy game is the Skins. If they drop 4 out of 5, they'll finish 9-7. How many wins do YOU think we need??

Come on man

after yesterday, i’m definitely not worried about the giants, even away, i’m still not on the broncos bandwagon, and the cowboys are, well, the cowboys

Let me keep it simple:
the rest of our schedule is not based on WHO we are facing, rather how WE will play. if this team plays hot, we can sweep the rest of our schedule

+1

we could go 11-5 or 8-8 and nothing would surprise me with our inconsistency at this point

They will finish 10-6

They’re going to lose the Falcons game and they’ll also pull a stinker against the 49’ers and get shithoused. Other than that, they should all be wins.

I agree

I can’t call the Falcons in Atlanta an easy game. My gut level says we’ll win it, but with this Eagles team anything can happen and that is definitely one of the more ‘loseable’ games we have left

10-6 will get you into the playoffs

and 11-5 will be the record of the division winner (hopefully Dallas, but who knows). I was convinced for a long time that 3 teams from the east would make the playoffs, but now I am pretty sure it will Dallas and Philly with Green Bay getting the other spot.

I didn't think 3 teams from the East would get in this year

the North and South both looked competitive, but the Bears have fallen off and the Falcons have leveled out. I think it depends on a couple things here:

1. Can Green Bay’s depleted secondary handle a passing attack not from Detroit? I think GB falls off these remaining games and finishes 8-8 or 9-7.

2. Can the Falcons win 4 games out of 6 with Tampa bay twice, Buffalo, and NYJ still remaining on their schedule? I think they go 9-7 and fight with GB for the wildcard.

3. The Giants are done. In 6 games left, they have all 3 division games, Carolina, and Minnesota. I think they beat only Washington and Carolina. The only way they beat the Vikings is if somehow New Orleans loses a couple and the Vikings secure homefield before week 17 and rest their starters.

With that said, it looks like Philly and Dallas are going to the postseason…One of us as the division winner, and one of us as the 1st Wildcard. I also think it comes down to our meeting week 17; where even if you remain 1 win ahead of us, and we win that game to tie for the season, we get the tiebreaker and take the division with the same record. I think we both go 10-6, we get the division with a week 17 win over you.

10-6 will get us in

Provided we own the tie breakers.

I don’t know how anyone after watching these past 10 games can be “confident” we’ll get there with no problem!! But we certainly could if we start playing to our ability

10-6

I also think that gives us the division if we beat Dallas for the tiebreaker week 17

Magic Number= 4

What’s up guys? I have finally expanded my horizons and made the jump to Bleeding Green Nation from FootballsFuture. I hope my presence is welcome here.

This season has been so up and down, that I really don’t know what to think anymore… Due to the overwhelming inconsistencies and onslaught of injuries we’ve sustained thus far, it’s hard for me to imagine us winning out. However, I think the Cowboys are the biggest aberration in the NFL- and they will soon be exposed as frauds. Cowboys drop 3 of their next 5. We win 4 of our next 5. Oh yeah, and what’s up Jim?

dude, you come on here and admit you left another site to join us,

say exactly what all of us have been saying week in and week out, you say the chances of us winning out are very slim, AND insult the cowboys all in one post…

yeah your welcome in these parts(at least in my book)
