Wish a Happy Birthday to Donovan McNabb!
Although not every Eagle player’s birthday will be individually announced and celebrated (sorry, fellas), it seemed appropriate to let it be known that Donovan McNabb–the team’s starting Quarterback–turns 33 years old today. The veteran player (pictured) has led the Birds quite effectively this season, and because of his success, as well as the fact that he has ta
ken in criticism almost every year but still leads the franchise in many historical categories, it seemed an appreciative thing to do in wishing the exciting passer a happy birthday.
In eight games this year (he missed two because of an injury to his ribs), the 11th-year, 5-time Pro-Bowler has compiled 1,929 passing yards, 14 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions. In addition to this, he holds a 61.6 completion percentage, the second highest in his career, and has also ran for 78 yards and a score. If it weren’t for his two missed games, McNabb might have been able to eclipse the 4,000-yard passing mark by the conclusion of the season (which would surpass his career-high), but then again, he has the talent to still do so despite a pair of absences.
Once again, every player’s individual birthday will not be posted and congratulated–at least often–but with Donovan’s various hardships and criticism faced over the years (to go along with his outstanding play), it is necessary to wish the veteran professional a “Happy 33rd Birthday!”.

Nah...
Either Mcnabb or Warren Moon. Warren Moon has crazy numbers but mostly due to the Run n Shoot offense.
I pick #5

Relentless much?
At least you are consistent, Joe_D. Do you have one of those collapsible sniper rifles in the brief case that they show the assassins taking out the president or some other victim with in the action adventure movies? If so – STAY AWAY FROM D. McNABB!!! It never works in those movies. Usually the intended victim sneezes and you miss with the first shot, then the good guy, misunderstood cop takes the assassin out just as he’s ready to fire the second shot. It won’t work Joe_D, so just give up on that idea right now!

their D is, in fact,
2nd in total yards allowed, 2nd in passing D, 11th in rushing D, 23rd in pts allowed. not defending the Giants here but that’s hardly 30th

I'm surprised you didn't come back with any profanity...
That MUST be a first.
Even if I was just an Eagles fan for three years, I would still be a better fan and certainly more knowledgeable than you will ever be…buddy.
Seriously why do you hate Donovan so much? This was a thread where everyone was wishing him a Happy Birthday and you come in here and have this to say?
He hasn’t beaten a team over 500 so far.
Do you have any idea how foolish that makes you look? Not to mention, you are WRONG. The guy points out the Giants and you reply…

WTF! Did Mcnabb do something to your family or something? You are hating on the guy on EVERY Mcnabb post including this one.
Seriously, What the FUCK is the matter with you?

OK retard
They beat one over 500 team that is pretty much the biggest joke of a 6-4 team. They only beat the bottom 5 teams (save for ATL which they nearly lost to)
I had one question. How has mcnabb led this team quite effectively this season? I haven’t gotten one thought out intelligent response yet.

Why do you hate him so much that you are always up his ass?
I will understand if Donovan ever sexually abused you or something, don’t be ashamed to admit it.

Nobody "fellates" him...
as much as you hate him. I can say the same thing to you. There are worse players to hate on than one of the winningest QBs ever and a top 7 QB.
You seriously overdo the hating.

seriously joe
mcnabb is in in the top 5 best qbs in the league currently and whether you like it or not you know it, i’m not quite sure what it will take for you to respect this guy, picture our franchise without mcnabb for the past 10 years and be thankful that we haven’t been as shitty as some of the other franchises. you cant blame one player for not winning a championship. this is a team sport. and by the way, mcnabb has brought our team a LOT of success as we have been one of the most successful franchises in the past 10 years.

you really think he gives a shit?
or even reads this site? or cares if a couple bloggers wish him a happy bday. In other words, im not hurting his feelings so dont give me shit for posting anything short of sucking him off.
Im just asking how has he led this team QUITE effectively this season?
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!
by Joe_D on Nov 26, 2009 2:03 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
"Quite"
means imperfect but still doing well enough. I don’t see why he hasn’t been quite effective. The O-line and receivers/McCoy have made their share of mistakes and miscues, and look at Donovan’s numbers. I hear you he hasn’t been great but to say he hasn’t been “quite effective” seems wrong to me. I blame our losses more on our pass-happy offensive scheme than McNabb struggling on those days. Sure he struggled (and badly) but shouldn’t the coaches adjust to that? He’s carried our offense for a decade and he’s doing it again with Westy out, and you can’t give him “quite effective”???
My "t" and "y" buttons are messed up so don't bitch at me about misspelling, I'm just saying.

forget it, joe expects perfection from ONE person to carry an ENTIRE team despite...
…a multitude of injuries, several young players at key positions, a terrible punter (which in my opinion has a huge effect on a team), a coach who kills everyone with his playcalling, and guys like him that continue to put pressure on him for no reason
