1:00 Games Open Thread

Washington will face off against Dallas without the help of Albert Haynesworth or Clinton Portis. Atlanta is coming into town to take on New York, who will be without star linebacker Antonio Pierce. Other matchups include Indianapolis at Baltimore, San Francisco at Green Bay, Buffalo at Jacksonville, Pittsburgh at Kansas City, Seattle at Minnesota, New Orleans at Tampa Bay, and in what will surely be a thrilling contest, Cleveland at Detroit.

UPDATE: Washington's Ladell Betts has suffered a game-ending knee injury. DeAngelo Hall is also questionable with a knee contusion. Tony Romo is playing through a hip contusion after a collision with Hall during a fumble return.

And on top of all that, the Browns are surprisingly crushing the Lions 24-3. Brady Quinn is 8/9 with 151 yards and 3 TDs in the first quarter.

Its so hard for me to cheer for the redskins, but i have to do it

by eaglesinmd on Nov 22, 2009 1:06 PM EST reply actions

Likewise. But they’re definitely the lesser of two evils.

by Bob_Q on Nov 22, 2009 1:09 PM EST up reply actions

who is better for us to win in the falcons giants game?

by eaglesinmd on Nov 22, 2009 1:10 PM EST reply actions

Falcons. Concentrate on getting control of the division.

by Bob_Q on Nov 22, 2009 1:11 PM EST up reply actions

If the Redskins don’t start doing a better job stopping the run, they might as well just go home now.

by Bob_Q on Nov 22, 2009 1:14 PM EST reply actions

Nah

Garrett will forget about the run in due time.

Wow

by bdawk4ever on Nov 22, 2009 2:19 PM EST reply actions

Wow that FG attempt by Washington was like epic fail on their part, spent a good 10-15 min arguing with the ref to push the ball spot back and forth get some of the most favorable calls, and then…FAIL!

by fhqwagads on Nov 22, 2009 2:43 PM EST reply actions

Man, i really wasn’t giving Washington much chance today, without Portis, Haynesworth and Cooley, and then losing Hall and Sellers at the start of the game

Yeah really

Dallas is bad. Very bad. 0 points so far?

I knew they were overrated when the beat the Eagles (they gave that game away), but I didn’t think they were this bad.

Where are all those Cowboy fans who were crowing about their team now? Crying, I’m sure…

Studebaker !!

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Andy Studebaker got his first career NFL start today against the Steelers.

He’s making the most of it.

Studebaker has intercepted Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger twice in the third quarter of today’s game. The second interception came in the end zone, ending a long Steelers drive, and Studebaker ran it back 94 yards before Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall finally caught him from behind and tackled him at the 8-yard line.

Couldnt beat us in Philly

couldnt beat the Raiders either. just because we didn’t play well today doesn’t make us a bad team. Surely an Eagles fan should recognise that.

The Knights season may have just ended, but the Cowboys year is just begining!

by aussie_cowboy on Nov 22, 2009 4:58 PM EST up reply actions

Yes it does

They didn’t just not play well, they couldn’t do anything. They are bad.

by bdawk4ever on Nov 22, 2009 5:15 PM EST up reply actions

Firstly

it was a divisional game, which are always tight. Secondly, we looked no worse than the Eagles did against the Raiders, are they bad also? And how about the Saints, who only just beat the Rams, sure they’re 10-0 but they must be bad as well right?

The Knights season may have just ended, but the Cowboys year is just begining!

by aussie_cowboy on Nov 22, 2009 5:17 PM EST up reply actions

eh, the cowboys might not be bad

but based on the last two weeks, I’d be worried. It looks like you guys are preparing for your usual december. Certainly not a bad team, but you must admit they have been awful the past two weeks, regardless of who their playing. And don’t tell me the eagles have played poorly also, because I already know.

Amazing

The games today have been a lot more amazing than I thought…I mean, two overtime games that were nail biters including a shocker of a win by Kansas City. Dallas squeaking out a REALLY close game against Washington (damn you Suisham). Green Bay was okay didn’t watch any of it, but score was 30-24 so….yea. I actually thought Tampa Bay also had a chance when they scored the first touchdown of the game. Indy wins in a close one as well. And Detroit and Cleveland…don’t even get me started. 38-37 Detroit wins on the last play of the game. Unbelievable. Jacksonville wins a close one too. So so many nail biter games today I can’t believe this. Thought a lot of games were going to be one-sided.

If I'm goin' to hell, you're coming with me...

What’s with the Rams having a bunch of our wrs? Like, i knew they had them but it just hit me when i saw Amendola and Gibson on the recieving list for them

Two thirds of the earth are covered by water, the other third is covered by Dawkins

by greeninireland on Nov 22, 2009 6:47 PM EST reply actions

they signed amendola off of the practice squad and we traded gibson and someone else (i think) for witherspoon. probably have a good relationship with them since spags is a former assistant here.
