Shady McCoy can really block!

He picked up the blitz on a couple of occasions and was a big part of the success McNabb was able to have. I may be mis-remembering, but one of the big TD we had I think was a play action where Shady had to immediately throw himself at a blitzing LB, giving McNabb the time to make the play.

If there is one area the man is an all-pro, it's this one. Well done!

As a PS, I couldn't find an image of his giving himself out for a block. If anyone else can, please link.

He did well against the Giants

Sometimes it’s NOT about blocking and more about just slowing the defender down. This is the case for some smaller RBs. Sometimes they are just called to “Chip” the DE or LB slowing them down enough to give the QB more time!!!

Tuck the play before his TD run.. It’s great to see him respond after getting his teeth knocked in.

There was a flag thrown on that play also. I was like, CRAP there gonna call Shady for an illegal chop block or something. Turns out..NOPE! Shady owned that dude on that play foreal!
