I agree with you… but hey, I’m still voting for one of our guys.

Mac gets a bad rap some times. He's made some bonehead decisions this year.

But he is on pace to have a better rookie year than DJax. We are lucky to have him. That said, I still love Percy Harvin for rookie of the year. However Maclin is a better receiver.

This year was a good year for WR, as Nicks is decent as well.

Not for the Raiders. Heyward-Bey sucks. That may be the dumbest thing Al Davis has done in years, and that’s saying something. Of course the kid could get better (they could also get a borderline competent QB), but early results are really, really bad.

like you said their QB is terrible lol, lets give him some time

by JKennedy on Nov 17, 2009 3:43 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah, DHB doesn’t have much of a chance there. He could still be a decent player. He was a reach for sure, but he blossom.

6 catches in 9 starts...

That’s inexcusable. He sucks. Thank God for Al Davis.

That’s a little skewed. Let’s be honest here… the team has what like 12 completions all year right? So DHB getting 6 catches in 9 starts is tremendous for that team and is definitely their MVP so far.

Darius may someday be a decent WR but he doesn’t have a chance on that team. Yes he was a reach at that pick but he was still a good WR. Time will tell, I’m not taking anything away from his performance on a crap team.

In all fairness, that’s probably equally skewed in the other direction.

Also, most WRs take 2 or 3 seasons to really hit their stride. He’s certainly not a bust yet, but early returns are not very good either.

4th round pick Louis Murphy has 16 catches 250 yards and 1 TD. Zach Miller has 29 catches, 400+ yards and 1 TD. Calvin Johnson had 48 catches in just 10 starts on a dismal Lions team. Again…inexcusable.

With future Hall of Famers Dante Culpepper and Dan Orlovsky behind center.

Hmm…. I thought I had put an end sarcasm line in my post but apparently it has gone missing. The first half was all sarcasm, that whole team is one hilarious screw up after another. But that happens when you draft a track team instead of a football team.

I knew the first half was sarcasm, but I disagree with the second half as well. I just think he is a bust. Bad team or not, his play has been atrocious.

Who knows how well he would be producing if he was on a better team… with a better QB.

Yeah...

You can see with Steve Smith what bad QB play can do to a WR…

Then why does Murphy and Miller have more catches, yards and touchdowns? Oh wait… I forgot DHB is double covered every game.

DHB is the second best rookie receiver on his team.

Yeah he doesn't have much chance this week

But it was ludocris that he didn’t get it for his game against Tampa, I mean 142 yards 2 TDs, and who won it, Moreno? 88 yards and a lost fumble? Seriously?
