NFC East Schedules
At 5-4 the Eagles are behind 1 game behind the Cowboys and are tied with the Giants.
Eagles schedule looks like this:
@ Chicago |
Sun 11/22 |
Sun 11/29 |
@ Atlanta |
Sun 12/06 |
Sun 12/13 |
Sun 12/20 |
Sun 12/27 |
@ Dallas |
Sun 01/03 |
Chicago, Atlanta and San Francisco are all playing poorly. Washington just had a big win against Denver, but otherwise we should win that game. Four more wins might be enough for a Wild-Card spot, or we could still win the Division with Dallas having a tough schedule in December when Romo struggles.
Cowboys schedule looks like this:
Sun 11/22 |
Thu 11/26 |
Sun 12/06 |
Sun 12/13 |
Sat 12/19 |
Sun 12/27 |
Sun 01/03 |
After Oakland, that’s a tough stretch.
Giants Schedule
Sun 11/22 |
@ Denver |
Thu 11/26 |
Sun 12/06 |
Sun 12/13 |
Mon 12/21 |
Sun 12/27 |

Sun 01/03 |
Tough 4 game stretch. The NFC East could go in many directions. The Wild Card race could be tight as well with the Packers keeping themselves alive. There really is no way to predict what will happen within the next month, and that’s the fun of the NFL.
We all know the Eagles play well coming down the stretch, so let’s hope it can happen. The question is will they drop one more next week so that there’s almost implosion in Philly only to rebound and win the 5 or six games? Stay tuned.

No, we (the fans) can get as far ahead of ourselves as we want. Its the team that cant get to far ahead of itself.

i agree we should take things one game at a time but its good to keep the overall goals in perspective
RIP JJ & HK
Congrats NYY, it took you 9 years to buy a championship. I would love to see how that series would have went if Cole remembered how to pitch.

If Sheldon’s injury isn’t to serious, then I like our game against Chicago because Cutler loves to throw to jerseys that aren’t the same as his. I like Forte, but he is having a sophomore slump and our run D (with the exception of today) has been pretty good. Washington is coming to us this time which should give us something. Especially since every receiver not named Santana Moss, has been pretty useless and Cooley out is big, so is Portis being out (assuming he can’t go). Atlanta is going to be a tough game, but that secondary of theirs is pretty weak and so are the LBs so I think that is winnable. If we can get it together we should be able to go 3-0 over these next 3 games. Akeem needs to get healthy and so does Sheldon though.

Forte is just not good.
Washington is at home, so that’s nice. Also, they’re still not very good.
Atlanta’s secondary isn’t weak, it’s abysmal.
And yes, we desperately need Akeem back in the mix.

I think you are going to need 10 wins to get the wildcard this year Green Bay and Atlanta are both 9-10 win teams IMO which means we must beat ATL to hold to tie breaker over them if we both finish 9-10.
I don’t see how this Eagles team that has come out to play the past two weeks wins 5 more games. We always lay an egg against the Bears and the rest of our schedule is against legit teams (Washington may be bad but they have had our number in the past.)
I’m not trying to sound negative I think this team has the tools to run the table but if we don’t get some consistency out of our play makers and get both sides of the ball to show up it’s going to be a long road.

I think the key point here is that we can take exactly what you said and cut 'n paste it for the Cowboys and Giants.
Their schedules are basically the same in that there are a collection of tough, but not great teams (aside from the Saints for Dallas) in their way and they can’t be counted on for any kind of consistency. The NFC East might be the tightest division in football in terms of quality differential between teams. Unfortunately that quality isn’t as high as it could be.

Linebacker injures
You can tell the way the chargers were playing that they were testing our linebackers. It worked, 2 td’s for tomlinson and a nice game for Gates. Hopefully things will be different when Jordan comes back.
