The Linc - DeSean Jackson hires Drew Rosenhaus

Eagles have won big and dropped close ones | AP Texas Sports | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle
Andy Reid sees no difference in his team whether it's playing a close game or enjoying a blowout. It's just that his Philadelphia Eagles have been losing a lot of the close ones.

Eagles' first half a mixed bag
The Birds are 5-3 at the midpoint for the fifth time this decade. In each of the preceding four years when they've had that record, they not only went on to make the playoffs, but also got to the NFC championship three times.

N.F.L. Roundup - N.F.L. Bars Eagles’ Hanson From 4 Games for Drug Use - NYTimes.com
Hanson’s lawyer, David Cornwell, said in a statement that Hanson did not use steroids but tested positive for a diuretic after last year’s National Football Conference title game against Arizona. "Joselio did not use steroids or any other substance that would enhance his performance," Cornwell said.

Jackson joins the Rosenhaus family - NFC East Blog - ESPN
"My previous agents, if they're not doing anything they need to do, everybody wants to think of it in a negative way, 'I want to get paid.' All that. That's all good, but at the end of the day if I'm not being treated the way I needed to be from my other agents, then there's no point in me still being there," Jackson told Seltzer. "No matter if it was before the season or after the season or the middle of the season."

Before you panic too much about that last stories there's a few things to know. First, Drew Rosenhaus represents several current Eagles and other than that one guy has had a productive relationship with the team. The collecting bargaining agreements bars teams from reworking a players' contract until at least his 3rd year. So if you're thinking this move means you'll start hearing Jackson chirping about a new contract, you won't. At least for this year...

Beat-Up Birds to Shuffle LBs Against Chargers
With starting weak-side linebacker Akeem Jordan likely out with a hyperextended/bruised knee, the Eagles are shifting their starters. McDermott on Thursday reiterated what head coach Andy Reid said the previous day – who plays where will be based on the situation.

Sam Donnellon: Celek won't put positive spin on Eagles' record | Philadelphia Daily News | 11/12/2009
Said Celek: "We're making big plays and having consistent drives and scoring. And then, as you could see Sunday night, we just couldn't get going. When we didn't start the game off so well this last game, we let that carry over instead of starting over and saying, 'OK, let's get this thing going right now. We just kept carrying it on until the game was over."

I see Rosenhaus like i see Ari Gold

an a-hole agent who is loved by his clients and hated by everyone else. i can’t hate him for it, he’s the best in the business and i personally think desean deserves more money. we are payin him dirt and he has come in here like a friggin tornado and just started making plays and emerging as one of the best players on the team already if not THE best player.

I’m also not super confident about this upcoming game. the chargers are a good team, we are away, and we are injured as hell. Add our consistency problems into the mix, and this might not be pretty… and this is clutch time for the season. i feel like these games are literally a coin flip. We either come out guns blazing or we play like peter pan day care.

nice

love the reference. i miss entourage.

boy if we win this game, the bears are next, we can still be at 7-3. HUGE. let’s hope this team gets it’s act together and plays with a passion and fury we haven’t see this year yet.

He's going to start chriping

Immediately following the conclusion of the season. This will be the biggest off-season story on the team and the Eagles will most likely let it fester like they did with Brian Westbrook, who thankfully was mature enough to continue training and playing even though the team did not immediately pay him.

I doubt Jackson will be that mature and expect him to start holding out of team activities as soon as allowed under the terms of the CBA. We already know he’s not happy that he’s making less than Maclin.

This is a pessimistic view of the situation but the Eagles have not handled these well during Reid’s tenure.

Pessimistic AND forgetful

How many of our good players did we lock up with no problem? We’re not a team that likes to renegotiate contracts but name one team that bends over for their players who bitch about a new contract?

And how is it working?

The Cardinals have more post season wins than you do in the past 15 years. The FIRST Mario Kart wasn’t even out yet.

What are you talking about?

Super Mario Kart for the SNES – was released on September 1, 1992. Do we need to go into franchise history of Eagles vs. Cowboys starting on that date? I’d rather not.

you know, if you are a cowboy fan...that's pretty terrible..

BUT….i think all this mario kart smack is great.

Not a Cowboys fan

But I am a Mario Kart expert, and someone who knows that 15 years ago was 1994.
