Odd absence coming for Joselio Hanson

On the same day that the Eagles lost cornerback Ellis Hobbs for the rest of the season, a report has surfaced that cornerback Joselio Hanson could be gone for roughly a month.

Per DelawareOnline.com, Hanson will be out for unspecified reasons.

"I'm just going to say that the NFL don't treat players the same," Hanson told Geoff Mosher of DelawareOnline.com via text message.

Bottom line?  It looks like a four-game suspension under the substance-abuse policy or the policy regarding anabolic steroids and related substances.

Apparently he took a diuretc before the NFC Championship game last season and tested positive after the game, and now he just lost his appeal yesterday

This sucks,

We are short Patterson, Hobbs and Hanson for almost a month.

Wow, we are going into the next month with 2 CB, and Asante keeps getting hurt as well. This could be a HUGE disadvantage.

I guess Trae Williams and Ikeguano are gonna have to swing it for a little bit.

This does stink

Though I believe we might be somewhat ok. Macho is a CB converted to FS. So he most def has cover skills. JJ (RIP) had Q Demps working in at CB throughout last year sometimes! So I he has some covering skills. He could play 3 safety sets with Q, Jones and Demps. Also use Macho on passing downs as an extra cover guy and or blitz him off the edge like a Cornerback Fire! Dimitri Patterson is coming back so all is not lost.

Both Demps and Macho are still nursing injuries. I’d put money down that they aren’t really 100% yet.

About 10 minutes ago, I was pondering my own existence. Then I decided that it didn't matter.
