Al Davis has been the undisputed worst owner in the NFL for some time now. I say it's time for some competition! I guess it's lucky for Marc Bulger that he's not black...MEGADITTOES!
Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said Tuesday he is teaming up with St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts in a bid to buy the St. Louis Rams, owners of the NFL's longest losing streak at 14 and just 5-31 since 2007.
In a statement, Limbaugh declined to discuss details, citing a confidentiality agreement with Goldman Sachs, the investment firm hired by the family of former Rams owner Georgia Frontiere to review assets of her estate, including the NFL team.
Forbes magazine has estimated the Rams franchise has a value of $929 million.

If i had an extra 929 million lying around, I’d buy the Rams & hire JIBTA as the GM, (then fire him right away). But seriously I’d bring in Shanahan as a GM & leave Spagnuola as Coach, then I would think about moving the franchise back to LA

…and have JIBTA dressed up in a Giants jersey and duct-taped to a dart board at Chickie and Pete’s while they played last years Giants/Eagles playoff game on all their TV’s.

Didn’t Detroit go 0-16 last season, which I believe is at least 16 losses in a row, which, last time I checked, is greater than 14. & for the record Detroit lost 19 in a row

I actually think Limbaugh buying the Rams would lead to a lot of great theater. I can imagine him attacking the NFL draft system as socialism. Same with the salary cap. The NFLPA would be listed as unAmerican for being a union. He’d probably also be fined numerous times by the league for talking about players other than his own on his radio show, and accused of tampering all the time. It’d be great to watch week in, week out. And every time he’d be fined, he’d accuse the NFL of infringing on his 1st amendment rights and attempting to censor him. So, even though I don’t like Rush Limbaugh, I kind of want this to happen because it’d be funny. I also think he’d be about as successful as putting together a team as Dan Snyder.

I believe he signed a contract with ClearChannel for about $400 million a couple years back. I saw one estimate that put his net worth somewhere around approaching the billion mark. At the same time though, nobody knows how much he’s worth because he doesn’t have to report it.
