Injury Report Continues to Show Promising Signs
This week’s injury report for the Eagles has appeared awful promising. Only one player–OG Todd Herremans–has been unable to participate in pr
eparation for the Week 5 matchup with the Buccaneers, and everyone else was in full attendance today. QB Donovan McNabb, who has already confirmed he’ll be in the starting lineup on Sunday, performed confidently and with ease at this afternoon’s practice session, as did RB Brian Westbrook, WR Kevin Curtis (pictured), FS Quintin Demps, and CB Dimitri Patterson, whom all have missed at least one game this season due to injuries.
OT Winston Justice and CB Ellis Hobbs were slightly hurt in yesterday’s practice, but both were in full participation today, and they are both on track to play this weekend. If the injury total could miraculously stay as it is now the entire season, we’d be in for one amazing campaign, but who’s to say we can’t compete with a few knicked-up guys to begin with? Nevertheless, things are looking very bright around Philadelphia, and there’s nothing better to a staff than a healthy roster of talented players.
As discussed in a previous report, Herremans will continue to rehabilitate his surgicaly repaired foot, and should return to football action within 1-3 weeks. He has already stated his optimism of the injury, and seems to be ahead of schedule in his initial recovery process, which is yet another great sign for this improving Eagles’ club.
Below is the official injury list provided by the team following today’s practice:
QB Donovan McNabb (fractured rib): Full Participation
RB Brian Westbrook (twisted ankle): Full Participation
WR Kevin Curtis (sprained knee): Full Participation
OT Winston Justice (injured hamstring): Full Participation
OG Todd Herremans (surgery, foot stress fracture): No Participation
CB Dimitri Patterson (surgery, broken hand): Full Participation
CB Ellis Hobbs (illness): Full Participation
FS Quintin Demps (strained hamstring): Full Participation

I've been hearing
that Westy and Shady are sharing carries in practice today. Anyone confirm this?

Do you ever get tired of posting the same crap 6 times a week? Because I get tired of seeing it.

Is Shawn Andrews still out?
I thought for sure he’d man up this week and strap it up…

He’s real good, but Peters is definitely quickly becoming worth every penny.

No need...
Being the superstitious fan that I am… I could’ve done without this post.
You think we don’t see the injury report dwindling down? No need to state the obvious and have it come back to bite us in the ass. haha
I know… I can be a little ridiculous with my superstitions. But seriously it’s great that we’re healthy after a week off and only playing 3 games. Now we have to stay healthy for AT LEAST 13 weeks straight. It’s early as hell. I’d rather not get too excited over a short injury list in Week 5.
