Edwards Traded!
Ok as some of you may remember i brought up an unpopular Edwards trade. Well many of you may be happy to know i was wrong. Braylon Edwards was traded to the Jets.
If the pair of picks are a 5th and a 6th or even 2 5ths this could be decent but other than that they might of over paid.
Also he could do good with a good coach and good QB.
On a final note This could now mean that Labron James may not go to the nets next year.

Great move for NY
Cleveland is a shitty franchise. with the constant changing of Qbs Edwards never played in a consistent offense. before we drafted Maclin i was really hoping to land this guy. (For the record i beleive our offense is fine where it is). I think Edwards and Sanchez will be great. Plus the jets run a great organization

I feel a little bad for Mangini. He’s the same guy who cultivated guys like Revis and Jenkins, and had the team at 8-3 looking to head into the playoffs. NYJ Favre is what cost them their playoff hopes and Mangini’s job.
Regardless, Edwards is going to have a learning curve which coincides with his potential suspension.

true, but it doesnt take weeks of practice and playbook memorization to drop passes

what
does this have to do with Lebron going to NYC?
by whiskeybill on Oct 7, 2009 2:56 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Lebron and Edwards got beef just recently when Edwards punched Lebron’s friend at a nightclub. Now Lebron is less likely to go to NY because of Edwards.

Priorities are totally not straight if he makes a business/career decision based on beef with a streaky athlete in another sport.

ru serious?
Oh my, Lebron has beef with Braylon Edwards? Wow, he really shouldn’t move to a city of 8 million people. You are a joke if you think that Braylon Edwards is going to influence at all where Lebron goes next year.

does that make him a joke

Lebron
is going where the money is, you really think that because Braylon Edwards went to the Jets that he is gonna cross the knicks and the Nets off his list, 2 teams with plenty of salary cap money to offer him?

Great move for Cleveland. I’ve always thought people were a little rough on Mangini. He did a pretty good job as the Jets coach and it’s not really his fault that Favre completely collapsed last year. He can blame the injury if he wants, but if you’re well enough to play, the injury can’t be an excuse. Mangini was damned if he let Favre in and damned if he didn’t.
Anyway, Cleveland is still gonna suck this year and probably next year, but they’re on the right track. Mangini won’t trade all his draft picks away for overpaid players. He’s trading away overpaid players for draft picks.
Good move for the Jets too. They get a WR that has had some success and has been in a funk. The change of scenery and being the go-to guy for Sanchez could be great for him.
Even if Edwards becomes an All-Pro with the Jets, it’s still a good move for Cleveland, because he wasn’t going to be an All-Pro there.

Also, the Browns front office must like what they see in the WRs they drafted this year, or else I don’t think they would’ve traded Edwards.
Also, I take back what I said about the Browns sucking next year. If the players drafted this year develop, they could be in for a very good year next year. I forgot they actually had a draft this year. I was thinking this year was the draft Crennel traded away all their picks, but that was last year. They had a good draft this year and if things go right for them, they could do alright in their second year.

Rex Ryan
I like the guy… i like his attitube and his philosophy but that guy just doesn’t care about picks does he?… he traded a lot of players and picks to get the Sanchez pick (i not sure what he traded and i dont feel like looking it up) and now a 5th and a 3rd/2nd?… hope that doesn’t come back to bite him in the ass.
