OG Herremans Eyes Week 6 Return
Eagles’ starting OG Todd Herremans seems to be making drastic improvements upon his health each day. The veteran lineman (pictured), who has missed the first three games while rehabilitating from preseason foot surg
ery, was unable to practice with the team yesterday, but said today that he is aiming towards returning to action in Week 6 versus the Oakland Raiders. Only this past Friday, Herremans had been unable to put weight on his surgically-repaired foot, but he has since recovered and is now walking and even participating in light jogs.
The 5th-year Guard’s injury originated in Training Camp, and was dubbed a “foot stress reaction”. However, with continuous pressure placed on his foot throughout practice, the “reaction” became a “fracture”. Herremans underwent surgery prior to the regular season beginning, and has been recovering since. Initial estimations had the 6 foot, 6 inch, 321 pound Eagle returning around Week 7 or 8, but hard work and rehab routines have Todd optimistic that he’ll be in the lineup come the 6th week of the Birds’ season.
Besides the obvious pain from healing the foot stress fracture, there has been some minor soreness in Herreman’s calf muscle, but that was to be expected, as he remains in a stage of “getting used to walking” regularly again. All signs point to what the big man is talking about–a return to the field sooner than expected, and likely Week 6. This comes as a topping to the batch of good reports that came out of the Philadelphia organization yesterday, as many players are on their way back to football action and recovered from their injuries.

interview
Anyone see/hear the interview w/ herremans when he’s standing at his locker??….sounds like he was the one w/ the pot in his pocket.
"Eagles fans are a passionate group who love their team," said McNabb, "if not the actual players. It's not like winning a Super Bowl before the first month of the season is the hardest thing they've ever asked of me. That'd be all those times they asked me to go kill myself."
