McNabb, Westbrook, Curtis all back at practice
The Eagles welcomed back a trio of starters to practice this week as Donovan McNabb(ribs), Brian Westbrook(ankle), and Kevin Curtis(knee) all were back on the field.
While Kevin Kolb and Shady McCoy sure looked good against the Chiefs, the Eagles are going to want their top playmakers back to beat the real good teams in this league. Tampa is certainly not one of those teams, but a game at home against a struggling opponent might be just what McNabb & Westbrook need to sharpen their teeth for that stretch of division games that starts in late October.
In other injury news, Todd Herremans thinks he could possibly be back next week.
"It feels great to get off the scooter. I was sick of it to say the least," Herremans said at his locker on Monday. "I'm very happy right now."
Herremans had recently said that he was aiming to return for the Oct. 26 Monday night showdown in Washington. However, Herremans is holding out a possible return one week earlier.
"I'm shooting for Oakland," Herremans said. "I don't know. We'll see at the doctor's appointment today."

i'd like to see this team without mcnabb and curtis for 1 more week.
i think there’s a lot of upside if they let kolb develop for 2 or 3 more weeks as the true, unquestioned #1 QB. there’s virtually no risk to it, since they’ll be playing 3 terrible teams, but if he starts getting noticeably better and if he makes great strides in his decision making, they could wind up with 2-5 extra first day picks after potential trades of any of mcnabb, vick, kolb.
human beings, who are almost unique in their ability to learn from the experiences of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

yeah i kind of agree that sitting them one more week couldn’t hurt… after all, if we can’t beat Tampa with the team we fielded last week, we may have bigger problems

I agree to an extent but...
The truth is even if you’re a very seasoned veteran like Mcnabb, BWest and Curtis, it take some time to get “readjusted” even if you just missed 1 or 2 weeks. I think the Eagles are in a win NOW mode (or at least that’s how they started from the offseason) and the best way to get there is to get our starters “on a roll” before the tough part of the schedule comes along.

Ok,ok, ok, NO!
I would like to see Kolb develop more also. I would like to see Shady get more reps. I would like to see McNabb and Curtis get more rest.
I do not want Kolb push for McNabbs job THIS year. I do not wanna see Westy/Curtis/McNabb agitate their injuries. I do believe we need them vs the better teams and our playoff run/SB run. I do not wanna trade Kolb. I would rather trade McNabb. The oldest starting offensive player vs the Cheifs was 27. Our future is looking bright man. If we can get a 1st/2nd and 3rd rounder for McNabb after this season I would be stoked. I would like to take some shots at some younger CB’s and better LB’s. Not to mention Grabbing Taylor Mays next year would be sick!

Hell no… are you sick in the head, trade McNabb for what? Kolb to be the starter I dont think so he’s from U of H come on here he looked ok but makes the dummiest mistakes ever even with given credit. So thats a trade on Pro bowler McNabb and then you have Mike Vick that dude is a former pro bowler also you have to be sick in the head Kolb is a better version of A.J Feely
