Westbrook status

The Eagles trainers spoke to the media today and I thought I would post what he said in case someone didn't see it.

This is the process Westbrook is going to go through. Each step could be really fast and take an hour or long and take a couple days.

Westbrook has a headache as of this afternoon. Once his headache goes away he will do some light exercises. When doing these exercises if he doesn't feel any symptoms he will then begin more "football type drills. Such as agility and balance. Again if all goes well he will move on to regular practice and then to the game. He could do all of this in time for sunday. The trainer said that he has had people get knocked out (like westbrook did) and play the next week. but he also said he has had people not be knocked out with a concussion and not play the next week. The only thing we can do is wait and see. I do have to say that the Eagles siging an extra RB might mean that they don't think he will play.

P.S. Do you think the Eagles might not be giving the media much information on westbrook, because they want the giants to have to prepare for both and maybe think he wont play????

may have been added because of the injury, and will probably see a few carries if Westbrook doesn’t go.

i don't see that

I think he’s probably 4th on the chart behind buckley, who knows the system better. Buckley never gets carries…if Westbrook is out, then Buckley will probably play the role Shady usually plays and get a few, but I still see the 3rd back doing virtually nothing. If anything, Weaver will probably get carries.

i like many of us still wanna see buckley

if we could utilize buckley, weaver and mccoy properly i really think our run game can be dangerous…plus whenever westbrook comes back all four could be lethal

If ever there was.....

a time to incorporate Weaver into the offensive game plan knows the time. I kno Andys philosphy on running but i dont understand why he isnt being used .

There’s nothing to understand! REID doesn’t even know why Weaver isn’t being used. It makes too much sense. Lets just keep Weaver in to block for Bwest. Oh he’ll get a touch here and there!..Come on, Weaver is proven. He can run and catch. We all know he is a unique weapon. Problem is, Reid’s so obsessed with trick plays and deep plays that he distorts is own vision. Instead of just tryna sustain a drive, he is always tryna pull off a BIG play! Image, if we used Weaver, and Buckley more. There is NO down side to it. U prolong Bwest, u spell McCoy, and u have that change of pace ability. Weaver and Buckley have the ability to seam-roll players and gain tough yardage. There is nuttn Reid could tell me to convince me that using Weaver and Buckley more is not a good choice. It would only HELP is.

Frustrating

Sux cuz we know that using Buckley and Weaver more would really help us out. It like Reid so stuck in his world and on his ways, that’s he’s literally wasting not one, but TWO more than capable RB’s. Why cut Booker for Eldra if ur not gonna use him at all on offense! It would amazing to see Bwest split out along with McCoy, and Buckley or Weaver in the back field. C’mon son! Just let it happen Reid and stop fighting it

Thats a funny thing cause...

If we pounded the gaps with Buckley and Weaver, then changed pace with Shady….the “Big Plays” and “Trickery”…would actually work..we’d be scary good.

Anyway…thats how I see it, from my recliner.

I've been sayin wait til next year for 31 years....

That’s what I’ve been sayin..If we just could sustain a drive and pick up 4, 5 and 6 yards here and there, it would open up the BIG plays. Patience is a virtue.! It aint Rocket science ya know what I mean….
