Bad feeling about Mondays game...
I hope the Eagles win on Monday but I just have a bad feeling..... Redskins are like 26th against the run and 3rd against the pass.
Seems like we should run run run right? Makes perfect sense right ? No not to Andy. Once again I can see him trying to outsmart EVERYONE and throw it 50 times. Clinton Portis I think is going to have a field day and somehow I see Santana Moss sneaking in for a touchdown or two...plus I am guessing Cooley to have at least 8 receptions.
This my friends is going to be a season defining game for the Eagles...lets see where we are going to go this season.

The Redskins are only good against the pass because nobody needs to pass against them. Everyone runs it down their throats and that works well enough, so the pass is forgotten.

just like he ran it against the raiders
who prior to that game were dead last in the league at stopping the run, and had arguably the best corner in the NFL in Nnamdi Asomugha.

Historically...
After games where he pretty much completely abandoned the run, lost, and got heat for it, he’s come back the next week and pounded the ball a lot more.

And he continues this trend throughout the year after the one inexplicable game
Thankfully, we got that dumb game over with earlier.
Not so thankfully, why the hell does a professional football coach need to annually be reminded he should run the football ?

Andy Reid has to live with Sunday's reality: He was out coached by Tom Cable. (John Clayton)
Since 2005: Andy Reid 36-32-1; 7-25-1 when tied or losing at halftime.

UMMMM...
“Everyone runs it down their throats and that works well enough”
This is TRUE..But we all know Reid and his frame of mind..We saw it in Cinci last year and witnessed it AGAIN last game against Oakland. They guy does NOT CARE how the opposing team ranks against the PASS or RUN. Reid will throw it even if the opposing team was ranked 1st against the pass. Reid would throw it even if the opposing team was ranked DEAD LAST against the run.
He doesnt care about stats, he cares MORE about tryna prove his System works which is PASSING on EVERY DOWN! !!

I honestly feel that we should not
care about the opponents pass or run rank… Either way we should be able to pass/run all over them if there 1st or 32nd…

That is True
I believe The birds come out running !! They will get Bwest and McCoy goin early. Then they will use the Play-action CORRECTLY!!
Histortically ..u r Right! The problem with his history is, When we start winning on a roll again, Reid reverts BACK to PASS PASS PASS 3 and out! It seems he just runs so show the fans “hey look, I’m willing to run the ball”..But in reality…..well……….U already know!!!!!

this is not season defining
… in one case it may be. if we lose, it’s time to panic. Not record wise, but if you lose to the raiders and the skins back to back things are looking pretty awful.
On the other hand, if we win it doesnt say much. The skins stink and we should beat them end of story.
I believe the eagles win…big. Portis will have an average day. No way Santana scores twice if at all. Cooley will have a nice day, but not nice enough to get the Skins a win.

if we lost to the Redskin's were going into
“build the future” mode…
Kolb will start, McCoy will start, All the youngster’s will play. and all the struggling Vets will be benched

no offense, but i highly doubt that. we really do have to win this game (imo), but i want to see our offensive unit gel together better. on one too many plays i’ve seen players look lost or there’s some kind of miscommunication. that needs to stop immediately.

the thing is we don’t need to [go] into build the future mode … because we continue to keep our team young it’s the main reason we have remained competitive for so long.

I'm more worried about the O-line
than anything else. We have yet to see consistent play out of these guys. Of course the Lineup changes week to week, but damn, they really need to get it together. I don’t think we go crazy with the run this week because of this.
This game is absolutely crucial for us!!! If we tank it this week, not only will we be WAY behind in the division, but we would have lost to a team that has an ex BINGO MC calling the plays!!! (Washingtons OC seriously was MC-ing Bingo for Old Folks Homes before he took the job w/ the Skins) If our defense gets shredded in this game, be prepared for Andy, Mc D, and the entire Eagles Organization to get lambasted by the national media. It could get really, really ugly!
Loooooook here brotha'.....who you jivein' with that Cosmic Debris!!!???

Hey Sybil!
Which personality will show up tonight? If I’m not chillin’ with a three touchdown lead by early in the third quarter, there’ll be some smokin’ deals on slightly used Eagles paraphernalia on my eBay site tomorrow
