Eagles need to cover tight ends
It only gets tougher from here on out if you think these past few weeks have been bad getting burned by Zach Miller, Kellen Winslow, and Jeremy Shockey. Well, you haven't seen anything yet. This is only the beginning, the Eagles have almost every team with an elite tight end on its roster in their schedule. If the Eagles defense doesn't find a way to cover tight ends these guys will be running up their stats like crazy against us. Looking closely at the schedule ahead we have to face tight ends like, Chris Cooley, Jason Witten, Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez. If we can't cover those guys how are we going to cover these perennial pro bowlers.
P.S. Kevin Boss can eat it...
*update* There I changed the title lol...

Yow.
From you headline, I was sure you were going to say ‘Celek sucks’, but you are dead-on right about this. We are truly fracked up the middle right now. It’s going to take an amazing coaching job with the tools we have right now to fix this, and I don’t think the cavalry will be here in the guise of a trade by 4:00 PM.
Big Red and Little Red have their work cut out for them.

Cavalry to the rescue!!!
Woo-hoo. I’ll miss Gibson, but this is good.

man I really thought Gibson had a bright future too but I don’t think he’ll have too much of a chance to make an impact here where we got Maclin and Jackson lighting it up and Avant in the middle.

The Eagles kind of have to pick their poison...
Gocong and (fill in the MLB of your choice) can’t cover anybody, although at least Akeem Jordan has some promise. They could try some 3 safety sets (with Macho, Mikell, and Sean Jones), but then you’re left susceptible to the run game.
Stewart Bradley was just an enormous loss. With Big Stew being a major disruption to the run game, it would be so much easier utilizing personnel better equipped to cover TE’s.

One of those safeties can play closer to the line of scrimmage like the 46. We know Macho can’t cover an athletic tight end(see Winslow td). I would take out Gocong on pass plays and bring in Sean Jones to cover the tight end.
Andy Reid needs to go. 36-32-1 (2005-present) Oakland game is unacceptable.

Correction...
I would cut Gocong and have Sean Jones be the SLB. Anybody has got to be better than Gocong.

when miller made that long run
Jordan was right on him, our own guy ran into jordan when he was about ot make the tackle… We need to call for the head of the person who chose to dive rather than make a real tackle… Jordan doesnt get hit by his own teammate then Miller doesnt score…

That was Trotter giving chase and (surprise surprise) Asante was the person who dove rather than attempting to tackle Miller.
Ever since the preseason game where Asante knocked out that Jaguar at the goal line, I have noticed that is all Asante does… Lower his head and his shoulders and just lunge at the ball carrier/receiver. Pathetic, and in this case, costly. He’s going to get hurt eventually.
I really hate to say it, but JIBTA has a point about Asante. He’s an interception machine and he can hit, but he can’t tackle for dick.
Smack it up, flip it, rub it down... OH NOOOooo!

Ugh...
I’d love to see a Trotter/Kirkland footrace.
