Eagles need to cover tight ends
It only gets tougher from here on out if you think these past few weeks have been bad getting burned by Zach Miller, Kellen Winslow, and Jeremy Shockey. Well, you haven't seen anything yet. This is only the beginning, the Eagles have almost every team with an elite tight end on its roster in their schedule. If the Eagles defense doesn't find a way to cover tight ends these guys will be running up their stats like crazy against us. Looking closely at the schedule ahead we have to face tight ends like, Chris Cooley, Jason Witten, Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez. If we can't cover those guys how are we going to cover these perennial pro bowlers.
P.S. Kevin Boss can eat it...
*update* There I changed the title lol...

Yow.
From you headline, I was sure you were going to say ‘Celek sucks’, but you are dead-on right about this. We are truly fracked up the middle right now. It’s going to take an amazing coaching job with the tools we have right now to fix this, and I don’t think the cavalry will be here in the guise of a trade by 4:00 PM.
Big Red and Little Red have their work cut out for them.
yeah I was about to break out the stats that support Celek
being pretty damn good and we were about to have a war…
thats Cobb on Kolb crime if you ask me... as said by yophillybro
lol damn I thought people were going to take it like that…get some extra views haha…no I should change it…
Cavalry to the rescue!!!
Woo-hoo. I’ll miss Gibson, but this is good.
The Eagles kind of have to pick their poison...
Gocong and (fill in the MLB of your choice) can’t cover anybody, although at least Akeem Jordan has some promise. They could try some 3 safety sets (with Macho, Mikell, and Sean Jones), but then you’re left susceptible to the run game.
Stewart Bradley was just an enormous loss. With Big Stew being a major disruption to the run game, it would be so much easier utilizing personnel better equipped to cover TE’s.
